But you speak one language right? You were also born in the country your still reside in? As someone who speaks two or more languages or has immigrated don’t stop talking in their native tongue after they leave their homeland. It’s more common to attract or interact with people who speak your language when living in a country that doesn’t speak your language. It’s creepy to you but not creepy to most people who are bilingual that have immigrated.
@@erins.5420 Actually I'm an immigrant and speak three languages and he would still freak me out cause he comes out of nowhere 😂 but you're right that people become a lot more approachable and talkative when you speak in their home language, that's why no one in this video called the cops on him lmao

@JMFS well three technically. The son spoke Somali, Arabic and English. And his son is also technically American most likely since they said their daughters were born in America.
@JMFS nobody said Americans are bad in that clip. You're just a triggered child. Also the guy making the video and behind the camera is black so the dad wasn't being racist to white people. The dad was saying the fact that this black American dude he's talking to is so fluent in African and middle eastern languages, there's no way he's American so he has to be African. And America may be majority white by a small margin, but there's still around 30-40% of the country that isn't white. Idk why you're so offended and how you misinterpreted that so badly. Also if you're American and you only speak English, then you're kinda proving the point. And your English is garbage so this is even funnier.

As fellow polyglot I'm jealous and genuinely admire this man - and his confidence in testing his formidable skills with native speakers. As an American, I could just cry with joy. I know it's been said before but people who come here from other countries, now esp, must feel so isolated and unsure about how they're perceived - if not assuming they're being looked down upon altogether, that is. Just kindly reaching out to another human is rare these days, it seems, but to do so in their language...regardless of if it's warmly received or not (or even if fueled in part by wanting to hone up on your own proficiency), IMO, it's one of the most beautiful things a fellow human can do FOR THE SAKE OF humanity. And most of all, lemme say, as a black person, the departed ancestors must be beaming with pride to hear one of their own speaking our ppls' native tongues. Love these vids. #connect
