I may be in the minority here, but I feel Devil Kazuya’s look in T2/TTT is the definitive look for his devil form. I’m not a fan of any other look. Too over the top. I wish Harada and the rest of the development team will revisit this look for T8 or have us the option to customize it back to that one.
The over the top ones were for the movie Blood Vengeance. They were just a little cameo. Tekken 7's Devil Kazuya final boss form though, yeah.. I agree.
The changes between TK2-Tag 1 Devil and Tag 2-7 Devil might be laziness but narratively it can be from Kazuya losing how his devil power. What changes i mean?The hair doesnt change shape anymore,the scar isnt red,he doesnt have fur,his legs/feet are normal and not monstrus,he doesnt have a tail and his eyes arent glowing red. His True Devil Form he showed in 7 must be to overcome that and is obviously stronger than even his classic devil state. However if he went True Devil in TK2 he would have been more than twice as strong
I hate the T7 retcons, in TK3&4 the story was that the half of the Devil Spirit went into Jin and that had been the primary reason why Kazuya wanted to fight Jin and T7 just retcons the devil spirit. Now its just a "Gene". Fans like us hold on to the old lore but i'm pretty sure this "True Devil" form writes off the fact that devil Kazuya was "incomplete".

The new Devil designs are overdesigned and bland at the same time. The main thing that i always liked about Devil in T2 was the echoing voice&the stage. Tag1 almost got everything right but the textures of Devil's skin tone is so bad it makes it look like a rubber costume and tekken 7 gets the body texture correct but ruins it by removing the echo voice and the claw feet. I Know, it sounds like nitpicking and petty, but it really makes a huge difference to me.
Never got to play that purple guy. 😭😭😭 You had to complete it with all the characters but some of their styles were so crap it was nearly impossible. That was like my main goal in life before PS2 came out. 😂😂😂 (I was in year 5.)

Tekken Tag 2 looks to me much better than Tekken 7. Animations are more fluid and the overall looks of characters look solid.
