Yes, take your time and the amount of lapping will depend on the dia size of your cast bullet...everone sizes their bullets different sizes, they rest of the die setup is the same as if you were running jacketed bullets...
@poke533 its the 1/2" PVC pipe from plumbing dept, its 5/8 outside dia and its 1/2 inside dia...on the 9mm and 40 cal die, you will have to open up the upper part of the die as i showed in the vid with lathe, 5/8 dill bit, or 5/8 counter sink
i need more help, the bullet just lays on top of brass and want seat., scuffs brass real bad! Guess i have to buff as far in as 9mm brass gores in? The 9 brass want reach up enough to seat bullet, when i bring ram down bullet is laying sideways and not fully seated. Oh well 25 bucks plus if ya can get it dialed in , you can sell it.
I made these videos long before people started Powder coating cast bullets and don't plan on powder coating any either, as how they work on the bullet feeders, I cant comment on that as I will not be working with any powder coated ones.
nice vid! il keep this in mind!
Does the lapping the most important part of the process?
