However, since you said the offer letter isn't required to apply for the scholarship, while doing the application, they are asking for bank details. I don't have a German bank account yet, and I think I shouldn't use an Indian one because the amount is usually credited to a German bank. What do you think? What do I do?
Hi Kaif, usually at the moment of application filling in the bank details is optional or there is the option of putting in your home country bank details which you can edit later to a German one. For TUM for example, one is allowed to fill in the details latest one week after acceptance of the scholarship. Is it mandatory to fill an IBAN in your case? If not, I would suggest you write a comment in your application somewhere that you’ll be joining in the winter intake and don’t have a blocked account yet. If you still have time until the deadline, I would suggest you also ask your scholarship office/ the one responsible for this scholarship at your university.

I have a German Grade of 1.8. What do you think about this academic record? And I have done some volunteering works. But I don't have any certification proof for it. Does it enough to mention only in the motivation letter itself? I'll be getting admitted to TU Dortmund with Masters in Automation and Robotics course. So will they accept me only if my motivation aligns with the societal works and not on the technology related works focusing Robotics or any other field?
Your grade is very good. I think selection is mainly based on academic records given it’s a merit based scholarship. But I’m sure every university has their own selection metrics or criterias and Iam not qualified to answer if your other qualifications will get you selected or not. I can only say that a good profile and experience gives you an edge over other applicants like for any other scholarship or job. Apply for it anyways, you don’t lose anything if you apply. 😊
