there are karaoke versions but they have an awful instrument track instead of the vocal track. the original version of the song (without vocals) is lost in time, like tears in rain.
In my parent's time, at disco, they would do slow dances at the end of the night. You would have the chance to build up the guts to invite your crush, or dance with whom you chose to be with in life. They always told me we miss something, these days, by not having that experience. I can now see what they mean. This really makes me want to do a really, really slow dance with a woman I love.
Everyone only sees the ‘sad’ side of this song, but I think it's not only sad, it's a prayer from those leaving (e.g. Admiral Jan) to those living in the present (Julian and Karin), asking them to please be well. ...... It's sad to say goodbye, but another page of new history is being added: ......

@@hrt8593 Thank you for your kind reply. From the message, I learned that Legend of the Galactic Heroes was being broadcast in Iraq, far away from Japan. I have watched Legend of the Galactic Heroes many times since I was a child, including episode 82, which you wrote about. Even as an adult, I still watch it over and over again without getting tired of it. The next time I watch it, I will feel that people from far away countries are watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes with the same feelings, even though their countries and languages are different.ありがとう。
All those... Moments... Will be lost in time...
Like, tears... In the rain...
If only there were official instrumentals...
The karaoke potential is otherworldly.
That would be god tier
Like baka mitai tier
I bet that somewhere in Japan there must be a karaoke machine that has version of this song. :D
