  • Hey guys!
For those of you that are making a Zero for the current Zero creation event or thinking about maining a Zero, here's a video of what you can expect for late-game weekly hard bossing up to Hard Darknell in Reboot NA with my gear set-up.
In this video, I am also currently using an event buff with 30% boss damage. Thus, clear times might be a bit faster than normal, but not that much faster.
Hope these videos will be useful to you all! Feel free to leave any comments or feedbacks!
Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for updated content!
    Happy Mapling!

Awesome vid. I’m going through zero and hoyoung bossing videos and can’t decide of a main. Could you give couple of hints about zero or anything to make that choice easier ?

Hi! Sorry, for replying late. I was out of town for a bit. But to answer your question, I do believe that Zeros have some nice utilities, survivability, and mobility tools in Maplestory. I'll try to break it down as follows:
      1. Utilities:
      - Armor Split allows us to reduce boss' defense by up to 50% which is really nice. Probably not as useful in end game bossing as people are pretty good with IED and there are better utilities than this, but still nice to have.
      - Divine Aura is a pretty nice toggle which provides atk, m.atk, atk speed +1, speed, jump, elemental resistance, and abnormal status.
      - Crit Binds (via Beta attacks) and Stuns (shadow rain) are 4 secs long each and have separate cooldowns from normal binds. This makes bossing so much nice to cancel certain animations and skills that can be quite annoying like Damien when he goes into the air and spits those fire balls down.
      - Time Distortion provides 25% damage to all monsters within the barrier and also cancels buffs on enemies every 4 secs (probably not as useful in mid-late game bossing but decent on early ones). It also provides the party members within range AS +1 and removes abnormal status every 4 secs (so a decent cleanse option).
      - Time Holding and Rhinne's Prayer both provide Cooldown resets when activated. These are resets affect important skills like Shadow rain (for more 4 sec stuns), AB Link skills, and Time Distortion.
      2. Survivability:
      - Rewind is one of our skills that just gives us a free life or door (bishop skill).
      - Immune Barrier is a passive on the Beta twin that allows her to create 50% max hp shield at a 25% chance.
      - Time Holding is also a 15 second I-frame. It works wonders in every boss.
      - Twin Blades of time is also a burst skill with I believe 3-4 seconds of I-frame.
      3. Mobility:
      - Zero is one of few classes if any that can chain Flash Jump and Teleport (Burst Step) for more distance.
      - Shadow Flash allows you to set up locations to TP back to and u can use the Alpha and Beta version every 40 secs. Can be pretty nice for a lot of bosses and it works as a nice mini burst skill.
There are probably more that I am missing, but those are the main ones that come off the top of my head.
On top of that, Zeros are really cheap to fund in terms of WSE (Weapon, Secondary, and Emblem). The reason for this is because your main weapon is also counted as your secondary weapon where as normally with other classes they are 2 different equipment. Thus, flaming, cubing, and SFing your Main weapon will be at the cost of 1 equipment instead of having to do 2 different ones. The only qualm about flaming that I have is that our tier of flames are mostly T4 and maxed at T5 where other classes normally are T6 and maxed at T7 flames. But some of our flames like boss damage, stats, and damage are doubled while our attack flames are not doubled. XD
Hope this information overall helps you decide! :D

Great vid, how would you rate zero as a boss mule? im hyper burning one, but contemplating making it into a boss mule once i get it to 250

Thanks! I think for a bossing mule, Zeros are pretty nice nowadays! We have 2 minute bursts (the new skill especially gives us decent damage now compared to before Savior), decent dpm, plenty of binds/stuns (pretty good for damien since he can be stunned and brought down from the air multiple times), and our survivability and mobility are actually really high (except the one thing about burst step being a bit awkward now...). It also has some of the flashiest skills, easy to train, and fairly cheap to fund regarding primary/ secondary weapon. I think you'll have lots of fun with it for sure! 😁

I heard +1 atk speed is the best IA but I have 20% cd skip. Is there a reason u kept urs 20% cd skip?

This comes down to mostly individual preferences amongst Zero players. While AS +1 does provide a slight flexibility in terms of maneuvering around and reacting to some things in boss fights, it really doesn't provide me the same satisfaction as seeing like 4-5 shadow rains resetting and popping off during the boss fight and seeing the boss sit there stunned for so long. Therefore, I chose to keep 20% CD skip out of pure satisfaction of stunning bosses for prolonged periods of time. I'm currently unsure how the IAs will be affected for 6th job because not everything has been released yet. So, for now, I would recommend just keeping the 20% CD skip. :)
