The 2023/24 football season continues for Oliver (and his Dad) with a trip to Deepdale to watch Preston North End v Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship on 13th April 2024. The first half's main talking point was a great header from Whatmough just before half time which came back off the crossbar. However, the teams went in level at half-time.
A late strike from Gabriel Sara secured the points for Norwich after he cut in from the right-hand side and finished past Preston keeper, Freddie Woodman.
The win keeps Norwich City 6th in the table, however, the defeat for Preston all but finishes their play-off hopes for another season.
A crowd of 16,322 in attendance for today’s game. Both sets of fans contributing to a good atmosphere. Good numbers making the long journey from Norfolk and celebrating with the players after the match.

As a Norwich supporter, it's nice to get promoted but the championship is where the excitement is. It's no fun in the premiership because the big clubs dominate.
