    Hi can I use wax line in d form of gutta because what I've understood Gupta is a cold resist and wax is a hot resist only the applicator is different for Gutta it is plastic and for wax it's a metal
    MI right? Pl answer

    • @abidzcraft
      @abidzcraft  3 роки тому

      Yes you can use hot wax for outline .Painting method is same but you can apply gutta in thin form and tjanting tool gives you a thick outline

    Question if I may, how come after removal of the wax when you wash, no color bleeds out from the painted areas.

    • @abidzcraft
      @abidzcraft  2 роки тому +2

      I used silk paints for batik and silk paints fixed by ironing from both sides with news paper . Then dip in hot water for one to 2 minuts. Make sure water sould not very hot. I done this job many times and i always do it without any hesitation but if you want check your silk paint brand try this on small piece.

    • @abidzcraft
      @abidzcraft  2 роки тому +1

      I used silk paints which are iron fixed. After painting iron the fabric with the layers of newspaper . You can find the video how remove wax from fabric in video description or in batik playlist.
      Note: add 2 table spoon of washing powder in water and place the pot on the stove . Dip the fabric for 30 seconds in the warm water. After 30 seconds rwmove it feom the warm water and wash in normal water .one important thing Do not overheat the water.

    I think using the iron is easier and not as messy as boiling the wax away from the fabric. One question is this... What heat setting should the iron be on?

    • @abidzcraft
      @abidzcraft  2 роки тому +1

      Yes ironing is must after batik (on high temperature because of newspapers which are placed on both sides of fabric) .But ironing doesn't get all the wax out of the fabric that's why we need to dip the fabric in hot water.
