I’ve been a huge fan of Austin City Limits for a long time, and this episode featuring Zachary Richard and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, from the 19th season in 1994, is one of my favorites. I was just looking through the episode info, and you wouldn’t believe how much else happened in 1994!
In the music world, Tracy Byrd, Toby Keith, and Tim McGraw were all releasing their second albums, and television saw the premieres of ER, Thunder Alley, and Wheel of Fortune. That sounds great, but check out the movie scene! True Lies came out, and The Flintstones movie starring John Goodman! It was a great year for entertainment.👍

One of those cases where his vocal treatment (5:38) is even better than the original. On the the first verse: Hurricane Ida rolling into Louisiana as I type.
