So glad people are enjoying our arrangement of this tune so much!! Training an AI to sound like Frank on this is cool but the original singer Benny Benack who sang on our recording sounds 99% like Frank Sinatra already, so it’s not much of a algorithmic jump for the AI to become Sinatra haha. Anyway hope you all check out our other covers of VGM!
It sounds like he's singing about how he basically sold his soul to get his dream of being a musician, but now he's stuck performing every week at some dive called Freddie's and now he feels trapped. A very relatable idea, well done Frank.
For me it's like he's telling the story of a place open 5days a week, Freddy's, where young children are forced to perform and sing for just a little bit of money because they're very poor and have no other choices. And yet, people are still coming to that place to see the show and support this kind of "child labour"
If I were to guess, heavy post-editing. You can briefly hear the clip of an edit at 2:32. I assume he only has the AI say very brief lines to preserve accuracy, and than edits them together afterwards.
My only question is how long did it take, how many cycles did the AI attempt to get it just right? Because its completely incredible how on point it sounds.
The way the AI works isn’t based on luck and different results the voice is fed and trained, the longer this is, the better it will sound and then the trained voice is overlapped on an acapella Basically to get good results, you get a fair length of good quality reference samples, you train it for long enough, and you get a clean good quality acapella.
The big band version by the original makers has actually been on Spotify for a while Probably not this exact video though, they do sound pretty similar
The fact its AI geniuely suprise but scares me, this is too good to be a cover and from the voice to the instrumental matching up frank's whole entire vibe is even more impressive.
@@Tactic_Zombies It is tho, you can listen to the original song in the description and tell this is ai over the voice to make it sound like Sinatra, the original doesn't sound like him the tones are different on alot of the notes.

For anyone questioning: the big band jazz cover of the original song was made by 8-Bit Big Band, the vocalist, Benny Benack III sounds significantly like Frank Sinatra with some minor differences. the AI was able to adapt the already-a-lot-like-Frank-Sinatra voice to fully sound like Frank Sinatra. Yes, this is an AI "cover". No, the AI isn't fully responsible. Mad respect to Benny Benack III and The 8-Bit Big Band for making an already fantastic cover, with or without AI synthesized Sinatra

But as you said, the original cover is fantastic. The AI cover just sound as good as it sounds because they had an amazing place to start from.
This is a Benny Benack III cover, with some AI boosting. You cannot call it an AI cover, it's not. AI helped with the editing/making his vocals sound even closer to Frank Sinatra. That *does not* make it a "cover"
@@alcerdemon9768 Listen closely. It's not the same as Big Band did. Tldr: Big Band paved the road, the AI polished the details in the voice. Remember how AI works. I've been listening to Sinatra for my entire life. This sounds so much like 60s Frank. It's frightening, but its as good! Maybe the only thing that could use improvement is that this sounds sung by an American. It felt off for me, since Frank didn't speak nor sing in an American accent. He had a mix of American and British, the so-called transatlantic accent
the best (or worst) part is that the lyrics aren't absurd to the point of breaking the immersion, this could genuinely be a Frank Sinatra song until the "Five Night at Freddy's" part
I am absolutely loving the song. It sounds like something Frank Sinatra would sing. It sounds like Frank Sinatra is singing about a nightclub. And I absolutely love the swing of it. If you increase it to 1.25, it goes from a Recreation of the song, to something Frank Sinatra was singing his time, with the Jazz and swing feel. I'm glad someone put this idea through a artificial intelligence program, because this was truly a brilliant idea.
@@fishedmilk I know, I do like the song and it sounds really good. The 1.25 was because if you play at that speed it sounds like it is the actual jazz or swing of the time. If you do a little bit slower it's more like a classical Five Nights at Freddy's take.
I am a jazz musician myself and listen to a lot of Frank, this song is way faster than any of the songs he ever recorded. Mr Blue eyes was more of a cool cat that took time vocalizing and crooning each word like Bing Crosby and others before him. So not really realistic for him. It does however sound like something Louis Prima would sing back in the 60s. But I digress, it does sound very good!
The amount of metatextual layers to this as a peice of art is insane. This is an AI voice reconstruction, of Frank Sinatra doing a cover, of a cover, of a fan song, of a indi horror game, that itself is a parody of chuck e cheese. Trying to explain what this video even IS to a complete outsider would be a thesis by itself.

"Frank Sinatra, you say? Singing 'Five Nights at Freddy's'? Well, I'll be. Back in my day, Sinatra was the cat's meow with songs like 'Nancy (with the Laughing Face).' The ladies loved him, and us men, we respected his style. This song, though, 'Five Nights at Freddy's,' it's a strange one. First The 8-Bit Big Band, now Sinatra.
