I dont have any Bowie in my record collection oddly enough. Not sure why. I just always found his albums a bit hit and miss I guess. Low is a great one though. Nice Adam Ant 7s! and I do have Closer in the collection. Just got it last year from a friend. Really good record. Better than their first one actually. That Clockwork comp looks really good too some good artists on there like Jack Dangers of Meat Beat Manifesto and Christ Carter. I will check it out. Cheers man!

I have 3 copies, none of them the vinyl. One of several reasons this Scandinavian chose Wales in stead of all those «normal» countries in me vinyl tag. All Mod Cons… Such excellence. I think an interesting question is would you only listen to music from your home country OR from everywhere else but your home country. For me, I'd take everywhere but the USA in a heartbeat.

Low always seemed half finished to me. I had never heard of Northern Soul until I started watching youtube videos. The Adam and the Ants 7”s are so cool. I have the B-Sides and Car Trouble. Low Noise Jason Skilz used to do Friday live streams. They were so much fun. I got a kick out of the LA mods. They would wear trench coats in the summer. I’m talking about 100 degrees. Skinheads weren’t a thing in the US until the late 70’s. I can only speak for Los Angeles but they were working class kids including black and Mexican kids. In the mid 80’s the whole skinhead thing was high jacked by racists. I quit going to most all ages gigs because I got tired of getting into fights with boneheads. They would show up just to cause trouble with the Punks. I could have swore Rob said 30 Soul records.

Iv been listening to a lot of slaughter and the dogs recently, what a band. I mean they were obviously part of the punk scene but situations is just such a mindblowingly good rock n roll song. Is your copy of lionheart an original? Mine is a reissue, don’t think Iv ever showed Kate bush on my channel. That mod mayday comp is really a great album. Adam and the Ants, takes me back. Until they became a joke band with the Wild Frontier Lp they were a standard pop-punk outfit, I wonder if 'Adam' regrets the cash grab let's be like Slade, or the Sex Pistols, shift?

I doubt Adam regrets it. I did though. He could have been huge on his own terms but sold his credibility for being a pin up for teenage girls😢
