Theories on why Spencer did not want to discuss his past relationship:
1. He doesn’t like being vulnerable infront of people, and talking about his past relationship might’ve made him cry too. I guess the entertainment value here would be him breaking his stoic persona..?
2. It’s been mentioned that he has anger issues so *he* might’ve been the toxic person in the relationship and was not willing to say that infront of his teammates and international TV. This would be a bit interesting for his character and would explain the writing choice of Diego saying he won't judge, but I really hope this one isn’t the case though.
