  • Autosavant.com's Kevin Gordon recently had the chance to attend the launch event for Toyota's 2014 Tundra. Here he gives his impressions of the 2014 Toyota Tundra while driving through the fields of South Carolina and walks through the details of what makes this truck a competitor in the market.

Great review Kevin. I particularly like the way you drove that truck.

Thanks for the review. Back and forth between the GMC Sierra and the Tundra. For $40,000 + I want to make the right choice.

I own a 2014 tundra crew cab trd offroad with 12,000 miles on it now, and gotta say I enjoy the truck but, wish Toyota would put a grab handle on the driver side so I don't have to use the steering wheel every time I have to get into my truck. Also the interior had some squeaking in the dash. maybe and after market company can make a grab handle!

Did your squeaking go away after time? I was thinking about buying a 14' Tundra used with low Kms. The truck looks great to me

+longboardguy you got it man! yeah so far so good except for the damn radio issues! I get 18 mpg on the highway at 70 miles per hour. my truck now has 18,450 miles in 2 years.

No "locking rear diff" as such, just ATRAC. An unfortunate omission by Toyota IMO.
