    As an engineer it certainly looks like they have improved that new design greatly over the other one. I look forward to seeing it operate.

    I bought one when they first came out, and they have definitely improved on the newer models. A great invention!!

    It appears they simplified the machine, just hope it holds up or they stand behind it if it dont. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Stay well, stay safe and we’ll see ya on the next one 👍👍👍👍👍👍

    I wouldn't be surprised to hear that someone as knowledgeabe about their equipment as you are was consulted about how to improve such a vital tool on the farm. I hope it continues to work out well for you!

    Anything to replace the person stacking bales on a wagon is an improvement. We bought a new pull type New Holland automatic bale wagon in the late 1970’s which I got to run several times.

  • @j.b.maxwell8300

    Dennis you could also put a 2” hoop up near the top of that new chute if needed to keep bales From falling off

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  4 роки тому

      I though about that also but it’s not needed haven’t had any trouble.

    Springs breaking has been a problem starting the 3rd year of use roughly 15000 bales a year on mine. You may have takked me into buying another one I like the improvements

  • @jamesmuir3810
    @jamesmuir3810 4 роки тому

    It should make picking the bales up easier if they're dropped tighter together. We put a pair of wheels on their flat sticking out the back of our sledges to squeeze them tighter when they exit sledges. Made a big difference for picking them up.

    I really like your review of these accumulators. I use a different system then Kuhns but I given thought to going to a Kuhns system. This comparison shows what a buyer needs to look for.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  3 роки тому +1

      I don’t know how they compare to other brands but I like them because they are simple.

    • @samuelscragg7052
      @samuelscragg7052 3 роки тому

      @@DLHFarms I don’t think you could get a more simpler system. My equipment is hydraulic system and it works fairly well until you get a longer bale or a hydraulic problem occurs. I have a lot of hillside fields much like what you have and after watching your videos I’m fairly certain that a kuhns would work for me. Thanks again for your videos they are most helpful.

    Great vid! With that new shoot being so steep, Have you noticed if it “banana’s” the bales? Seems like it’s quite an angle as it leaves the baler. Ordered the same model after you said they worked well on the hills, won’t get to use it till next year. Be safe, and thanks for the advice!

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  4 роки тому +1

      No I haven’t had trouble with banana bales because of the shoot. If your using it on hill go ahead and coat the stainless steel with slip plate it’s a graphite lube

    The length is what I'm interested in knowing weather the new one will hold up. To me,. The more length+ braces=structure and stability. Just my observation

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  4 роки тому

      But length makes it hard to maneuver in tight fields

    What size bales do you bale we got ours together and used yesterday I think I need heavier/ longer bales. We bale 34-36” long 40 lbs +or-

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  4 роки тому

      It likes 36 inch bales. I bale 36 to 38 about 55 pounds you have to make them tight. If your having trouble with the bales sliding put slip plate on the stainless steel. It’s a graphite lube.
