In our years of hunting we have found very old spearheads such as the Clovis between 11,00 and 10,000 years B.P. and very modern and different small tips from 200 years B.P. This means that 10,000 years ago in Baja California Sur there were mega fauna such as buffaloes and others, but they disappeared along with the climate and vegetation of that time and it became an arid and difficult terrain for larger fauna. That is why the points evolved according to what they hunted and the conditions determined the carving techniques. Welcome to the world of coyote..

Most of the points were sharpened down to smaller points yes? The notched scraper Pepe found is a true hide/ skin working tool they used to work the skins. Very good finds mis amigos!
.Generally most of the points we find have in some way been resharpened in such a way that the time comes to reduce them. That scraper is the first one we found of that type. Thank you my great friend. I hope this winter is not punishing you over there. BLESSINGS.

Oregon we are in the grip of Father Winter, with a foot of snow and temps in the single digits Farenheit. I am personally very envious of you guys wearing light clothing while i must don insulated coveralls to shovel snow in order to get my truck out of the driveway !! That second point is a nice example of a Catan. Or is it a Young point? Being is the point is NOT crudely make, I make it out to be a Cantan. That semi-translucent point i'm having a hard time typing it.?.? It may be a San Pedro ?? Any idea what it might be?? WOW amigo.. You and Pepe' found a lot of quality points on this trip. Question….What do you call the clear or opaque material that Pepé’s Stockton is made from…???and is it the same material as the bronze triangles Coyoté found??? I’m a flint knapper and just curious…thx and Buenos suerté on future hunts!!!!

Pepe's stockton is made of Chalcedony and the two coyote triangular ones, it is difficult to define what type of material it is.
