Plate discipline, working counts, spraying the ball to all fields, not trying to hit homers all the time and putting 100% effort in every at bat like it was a world series at bat in game 7. I want to see the late 90s hitting style with high avg and high obp. I hated the team .227 avg (29th ranked) in 2023. The worst Yankees lineup that I can remember. The 2014 yankees lineup was really bad too.
Proving the analytics that hitting homeruns will give you ( probably) more quick runs, but spreading the ball, putting the ball in play, going opposite field or having a two strike approach is so much more effective.
