Boy I sure hope I don't have to get into my clutch on mine haha. I can handle most this stuff but once I start getting into the engine and gear box.. ehhh my confidence goes down. I guess it doesn't look too tough. but still.. fingers crossed she drives fine.
That sounds is it need a new timing chain adjuster cuz those ones have on them now dnt every hole up well and my wheeler was doing the same thing and I put a new one manual adjuster and it sounds good.
I have 1 i bought for 400. Original owner said loxked up. Bent valve and new timing chain. She runs but keeps getting stuck in 4th gear . When it does it bends the triangle bearing on the left side. I have been inside several times .i see no reason for this to happen. Any ideas would be appreciated. I talked to a yamaha tec. He asked why 4th gear. Lmao if i knew that answer i would not have asked him. Thanks for the videos. I enjoyed them
Sounds like it needs a valve adjustment and timing chain adjustment.
Always such a great feeling getting them going.
Know this is an old video and have watched all 3, suprised these videos didn’t get more hits. Well done
Thanks!

I wonder what happened to the speedometer assembly.
Probably mix matched parts and years.

So the centrifugal clutch was OK and the plates you bought from eBay were bad.
