the input of an IC-741 is a differential amplifier, which provides a very high gain which will be in the order of mega ohms., the amplifier got it's name from the fact that the output of the amplifier is the difference of the two inputs given to inverting and non-inverting terminals of the IC.
This IC is known as a op-amp i. e. an operational amplifier because it can perform mathematical operations on signals such as signal addition, signal multiplication, signal can be integrated and differentiation, logarithmic operations can also be performed. so, in analysis part, the voltage gain, input resistance and output resistance has to be evaluated which will be helpful in the designing part.
the differential amplifier has four modes of operations, one being DUAL INPUT BALANCED OUTPUT. the analysis the aforementioned configuration is explained in this lecture video by ushendra's engineering tutorials.
the derivation for the voltage gain is explained with step by step narration., making use of white board with markers to give the students a class room experience in the lecture video.
