Sort of pattern I've observed... Mages tend to counter infantry heroes with their specialized mechanics. G2 Infantry are specialized in counterattack build (gor/skul) and so G2 Mages include defense-oriented passive skills/stats to mitigate counterattacks like Bertrand 4th skill, Tohar's 4th skill which grants defense and reduces counterattack damage taken. G3 Mages are likely to include debuff-cleansing abilities and hero skill-damage reduction in their kits. This counters G3 Infantry, who focus on skill-based damage and debuffs (Mogro/Danfel) Regarding with the design we already have 2 legendary mages from human faction, we need 1 from elves and 1 from orcs..We are likely going to have the leader/related to Longleaf treants or someone with tree-ish design lore wise, Leader/related to Satyr witches or some with goat-like design lore wise.. Basically heroes from each faction are likely to have stats/passive or active skill that reflects the faction and units faction... Ex. Lilya has hp stat which vestals specialized/ability, Velyn has def stats which Longleaf specialized/ability, Bertrand 4th skill grants attack like celestials ability, tohar awakened grants attack stat like satyr witches specialized/ability, Kinnara skill/normal attack based, Maggrat normal attack, kregg skill = spearmen all damage ability which suits either skill/normal attack based damage, Nico and Zayda normal attack enhance based = ballista ability, Fraeggar.Syndrion,Gwanwyn Attack based heroes = arches ability which they need. In general Cavs in elves are likely to be faster with march speed in kit reflects the faction bonus, Cavs orcs are likely to be strong in damage which reflects the faction bonus and Human Cavs are more on defensive stats that reflects faction bonus.. All human mages heroes are strong which reflects the faction specialization, Cavs heroes in elves, and Archers in Orcs.. G3 mages would have any of the following elements that currently dont exist ingame: Wood, Water, Wind, Magma, Thunder/lighting(pet does have), Force/Gravity, Time, Flower, Shadow, Light and Moon Elements. the treants related one would likely to have defense stat/march speed/peacekeeping/cleanser/debuffer, the satyr witch related one would likely to have Attack stat, Buff attack stat, cleanser/Support/Passive 1st skill/New talent tree and they both would likely be AOE... This is only a prediction and observations feel free to correct me if I'm wrong ❤️
Mr Gunz. Thanks for the vid. Hard to decide or stay as a mage main with all the infa and cavs on the field now. I am training infa troops to help out vs the enemy on the field. Don’t nock the CoD vacation. Much needed when you get burnt out during war time. Haha
Ive been saying they will have a rally mage hero with dmg reduction and a huge increase to counter damage given to enemies that also spreads. I wont go too much into the skills, but that skill i mentioned will be on the 3rd slot
I'm fairly sure the rally one will be another one lacking a rage skill, but instead have a charged attack. I do agree it'll likely be AoE , so maybe something that stacks a debuff on the enemy and causes it to explode to deal AoE damage every X hits, with an Awakened that either reduces number of stacks needed to trigger the explosion, or retains a number of stacks after explosion. To prevent them getting swarmed too fast (let's be real, will still happen) and give them some sustain, they could heal themselves based on the damage done by the explosion, or give themselves a shield based on the damage done by the explosion.
