United Express Embraer E175 Landing at Houston Intercontinental (IAH) Stormy, turbulent approach

It was quite a rollercoaster of a ride on our final approach, but we touched down ahead of schedule at Houston Intercontinental Airport. This was a United Express flight on a newer Embraer E175 operated by Mesa Airlines. This was the tail end of a two and a half hour flight from Milwaukee.

I would have thought he was going to abort there for a minute. But he pushed through that little Embraer was a fighter getting down on the ground. Now if you had been in a 757 or larger you probably wouldn't have felt it as badly.

After all that turbulence, that's got to be one of the smoothest touch downs I've seen.

I have to agree with you. The last minute before touchdown, I was sure he was going to go around. The camera does not do this roller coaster of a ride justice.

Very suprised that the pilots didn't execute an abort and go-around but that touch down smooth as.

I have to agree with you! We came in high, and the pilot was fighting the wind hard to bring the plane down to the runway.
