Fantastic review. You are dead on, and have picked up a lot of the notes that many people miss on Fragrantica and Basenotes. This is probably my ALL TIME favorite citrus fragrance! This is the summer citrus scent I was looking for, better than previous favorites from the house of Creed by far in my opinion! I agree with just about everything you said about this fragrance. I absolutely adore the way this house makes use of the note of violet leaf as well. Aoud Violet and Kumkat wood are also both all-stars in my book.

Oooh, I have always enjoyed Mancera's heavier fragrances, but have never tried a freshie from this house. And rose and ylang always work well for me as a combo. Sicily sounds like a winner. Great review!

Got my bottle and now I'm in luv with it. It's really something special and tropical for sure, hot summer days. Called up bhp months ago and wanted to ask the price but never got them. They called me three times and left messages to call them back. I live in ny and recently it's in stores now like parfumeraffy. So I went on eBay and sure enough bhp has it up and I ended Up purchasing it from for less then most places were selling it. Now I need black gold from mancera. Thanks mr oz for this treasure and bhp for having it.

Such a beautiful review felt like a delicious fruit that i don't just want to smell I WANT TO EAT ... Or mybe a juice that I WANT TO DRINK ... I don't know just quite discriptive ... I was SHOCKED with the 8/10 though after all that enthusiasm ??? I thought it's 11/10
+hack jack it's great indeed and for me an 8 is a solid scent. There are only few fragrances that are perfect 10s to me and absolute must sample frags if one likes the major accords mentioned...of course relative...based on my taste, the ones am for sure going to keep forever in my collection and repurchase if I ever run out. This one lost few points like I said because of that slight metallic feel even tho it was short lived. Additionally I would enjoy this from time to time but won't be able to pull it off regularly for example like my 10/10. Usually any rating equal or above 7 is a solid hint to sample the fragrance...the higher the rating the higher my recommendation. That also goes for fragrances I don't see myself wearing but recognize the quality and who it might appeal to...in these instances I get opinions and rating from others who enjoy it...thanks for watching!

I love citrus scents. I will be getting in contact with Allan from bhp on Facebook and order my bottle, he will be my cologne plug. I'm sad that mancera does not sell to the states. Great review! Do you think this one is feminine? I'm in doubt between Sicily and Aoud Lemon Mint... both sound like fun :)
Joost Verhoeven I've been wondering the same thing about Sicily. I don't mind florals but nothing over the top. I have a decant of Aoud Lemon Mint and it's REALLY good juice. I was in contact with Alan from BHP and was going to buy a bottle of Aoud Lemon Mint till I saw this review. I have to get my nose on Sicily
Oh well, to my nose the Sicily was a bit more fruity. I didn't like Aoud Lemon Mint tbh. Too floral and mature for my taste. I like bright zesty fragrances like Neroli Portofino, this was just too much vanilla for me.
Joost Verhoeven, So... What do you think of Sicily? Do you feel it feminine or is it a good choice for men? I also tried Auod lemon mint and didn't like it. It seems more appropiate for a 30-50 years old women.

Sounds like something I would enjoy but the violet is the only thing that kinda turns me away.
Man maybe one day I will find something worth trying for you lol JK. But you should try this one it's not a violet flower which can come off as powdery and Iris like..this one is the violet leaf more of a green side :) .

Hi Danni. I find this unisex because I don't find fruity floral accords leaning feminine. But if your bf does not like fruity florals then he will definitely find this one on the feminine side or not his cup of tea...that accord is there all the way out. So I'll avoid getting this if his tendency is to classify tropical fruity florals as leaning femme. Does he like slightly oudy accords? if so checkout Mancera black gold reviews to see if it's something he might like. or what accord does he like in general? particular notes he hates?
What ls the best signature frag from Mancera? I own Cedrat boise which i love
Hey for a signature scent am guessing something all year round and not overly complex...so what's the weather like for the year where you are and what notes do you hate/not like? Do you like loud or reserved fragrances? Maybe that will help me narrow down some suggestions.
MrOz I have all 4 seasons where I’m at. For a signature scent I’m not looking for loud. Mayne somewhere in the fresh, but with a punch, and a addicting aroma.

Waaaaaaaaaaay to feminine for a man I barely get any citrus at all on me it's almost entirely floral it reminds me of old women wearing rose water I just don't see this as unisex at all even my wife said that it's too floral for her.
