Parashat Noach 5783: The Great Flood
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- The great flood in Noah's time destroyed all life on earth. But how could G-d have created a world, and then regret having created it? Noah alone was found worthy of restarting the family of man. What was so special about Noah?
The Torah portion of Noach ( Genesis 6 : 9 - 11 : 32 ) is read on Shabbat, MarCheshvan 4, 5783 - October 29, 2022

Shabbat Shalom Rabbi May you always go from strength to strength
Thank you, Rabbi Richman, as always, for an illuminating commentary. I love that we all have the capacity to be righteous like Noah. The choice, the responsibility to do good in this world is on our hands. A wonderful contemplation to usher in Shabbat. Shabbat Shalom!

Thank you, my dear Professor, and greetings from Brazil. I live in a northern Rio de Janeiro state city, where there is no Synagogue close by. Your lectures are immensely appreciated and help me keep my daily portion.
We have a demand - very particularly to Brazil, where many descendants of Jews were converted - forcibly - for Christianity and when we 'hear the call' if I would say, we face a situation of no community whatsoever.
We lean over your help and guidance. Thank you once more.

Dear Rabbi Richman
Thank you for such great and much needed today explanation 🙏❤️✡️
Thank you Rabbi…
May we all remember and know uh...
That we must live to please G🧡D...
Like Noah.
Shabbat shalom.
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for another insightful video. Would you please 🙏 reply to the idea that there were other worlds prior to the creation of the world we live in & the physics "other worlds" theory. Also, verses that state we shouldn't ignore G-ds voice if we hear him today otherwise like with Pharoah, G-d will actually prevent us from doing good.
Thank you for this. If Noah advanced agriculture, why would it be that eating animals was specifically permitted to his generation?
Hmm, I have difficulty with your suggestions because you seem to be suggesting that Hashem thinks and behaves like a human being - we go back to thinking of the Divine as an old man in the sky and that seems somewhat limiting...
And why Torah says that the Bnei Elohim had intercourse with the daughter's of man? If they were only man why Torah mentioned like that?
Shabbat Shalom
Thank you
