  • Hello there! In this video I take you along with me while I make some fall portraits of my boyfriend on film. I used a Mamiya RZ67 and shot mostly on Portra 400 but also one photo on Fuji Pro400H. This video has been a long time coming (we filmed it in November) so here it is finally. Thanks for watching!

Hi Els - mit einer Agfa Optima Sensor 1035 hättest Du eben so gute Aufnahmen und sie wiegt nur 270 Gramm 📸😉🙏

That looks like it was good fun. The rapport you have with your "model" is great. He was very patient with you ;). I have the Mamiya 645 and have often wondered if I'd like to try the RZ. Seeing it in your hands is both encouraging and discouraging. It looks huge! But maybe your hands are small. I love that you can turn the back vertical. And the crank looks very convenient. Anyway - great work. Again. :)

Hehe thanks! I find the RZ very nice to work with but it is huge. You should definitely try it out if you’re curious!

Gregory got Els all flushed when he teased her a possibly abs shoot and she could take her mind off what a fall shoot that would be. LOL as he looks like he works out and maybe is a great model as well as a photographer. Overall looks like you both had a great day and wonderful shoot or at least Els was trying as Gregory tease was still on her mind and wonder she was able to remember how to load the camera. As posing Gregory was turning out to be a little bit of a problem and I don't think it was Gregory who was having the problem of getting Els pose correct as she wanted it. Thanks for sharing you two as you make a lovely couple and look like there's a special love you share. Be safe beautiful Els and be nice Gregory as Els seems to easily get off track when she plans shoots with you. As wonder why surely its not cause she can't keep her eyes 👀off of you. LOL hope you don't mind the little teasing Els as just good to see your lovely light shining once again as you look so happy healthy and in love once again. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏

Nice portraits. His skin tones seemed over exposed. Next time I would bracket what the meter says to photograph at.

Thanks! Yeah maybe some were a bit overexposed, or maybe I tried to fix them a bit too much in the scanning trying to get the colours right-ish...

Is Fujifilm (Fujicolor) still active in the production of 120 film, or are you using old, expired, discontinued stock? I was not able to find any vendors for new fujicolor film. There are only a scant few mass-producers of medium format film left for those of us who prefer analog photography. If the decision is ever made by Kodak, for instance, to stop production of their line of 120 film, any available stock to be traded on the open market will fetch astronomically high prices. Best to purchase a good supply now and keep it in cold storage. Lovely photographs and forest!

Kodak, Fuji. Lomography , Cinestill and others are still making 120 film. Some have imported Fuji superia 35mm that is mad in Japan and not shipped around the world .

Thank you! The Fuji Pro400H that I used was old stash, I cannot find it anymore either as this one has been discontinued. But there's rumors of Fuji making new film stock so fingers crossed... Kodak has been bringing back some films in their 120 line so it's definitely looking better now than a few years ago. Gotta keep film alive! :)
