Great family time, love it! Been flying for 40yr, all military helos/king air overseas. I’m from Oregon City/suburb of Portland…our kids are grown now but have always wanted to take them flying. Wife and I are both retired military, she a JAG me an aviator. We live in Alexandria, VA but I still call Oregon home. Thanks for posting, well done, mad respect for ur wife’s’ great attitude and loved ur kids energy….these are the most important memories that last forever!
You might want to reconsider having mom in the back seat of that Piper. If you should have a medical emergency while airborne you may be sealing your young family’s fate. When I was about five my family was driving in the El Dorado Hills ( No Cal) looking at property. My father passed out at the wheel and my mother reached over at the last instant from the passenger seat and prevented us from driving off the edge of the road into a steep canyon. She turned the car into the right bank which caused our car to flip upside down, but we all survived. My father regained consciousness in the ambulance about 30 minutes after he first passed out. He learned that day, in his mid thirties that he had an undiagnosed problem with blood sugar. He was even a pilot in the Army Air Corps but, he had no idea about this problem. I’ve been flying for nearly fifty yrs now and I always consider who’s best to occupy the right seat. My wife isn’t a pilot but I taught her how to land when we were in our twenties before kids, even our taildraggers.
My family, extended family, and old college buddies/frat bros (like 45yrs now) have been going to Sunriver since we were kids…awesome skiing at Bachelor and great golf in the summer. Wish I lived closer…should have bought a house there 30 yrs ago. Again, thanks for sharing…nice!
Very Nice video great to see a nice family being able to enjoy the good life.

Maybe they have some flying experience like your wife? The daughter was holding the controls in one of the scenes.
