If black accepts and white plays Nf3 followed by e3, a more interesting line is Nf6 followed by Bg4 before white recaptures on c4. Great line for aggressive play and rarely seen at master level.
@@vincerafaelcastro5778 correct Is there any mainstream gambit that should never be accepted? Unlikely, otherwise why would they even call it a gambit instead of a proper line
As solely a Queen's Gambit player, I always respond Nc3. Shuts down pawn counterplay on the queen side, and makes d5 an immediate option in some lines. Maybe it's not sound at top levels, but for a bullet player, it works nicely.
#suggestion 2016 London Chess Classic Round 6 Caruana vs Nakamura. Since you just finished a Caruana saga you might enjoy covering this game-features a really good queen sac.
# suggestion We need to cover 3.Nc3, because although it is not played much by GMs, it is the #1 most common move on LiChess, played 39% of the time. Also, now that we are playing 1...d4 instead of 1...Nf6, do we need to revise our opening vs the London?

As a Queen's Gambit player below 1600. I love that you put this video out. It shows me that low rated players will have to memorize to move 9 in order to get a barely better endgame by move 15. I can usually win barely worse endgames at my rating. I hope this helps me break through.
I dont think the queens gambit accepted is that practical of an opening, especially for lower rated players. Sure, it limits whites choices, avoiding a bit of theory, but Its usually also harder for black to find moves, than it is for white. Some of the variations are also really forcing, making it kind of mandatory to study the theory. The rather boring Queens gambit declined with Nf6, Be7 and O-O is much more intuitive to play and is much easier to navigate for lower rated players.

why play chess at classical time controls? magnus doesn't want to. bobby doesn't want to. wesley doesn't want to. Edit to add: Some people don't get it. Hint: I said BOBBY doesn't want to. Don't compare otb chess to mobile chess because that's not what I'm talking about. I like classical time controls, but I hate chess at classical time controls. Bobby, Wesley & Magnus all agree with me.
More time to think, less chance of blundering. They may seem boring but you have to realise that the chess world championship is played in classical format for this very reason. It simply brings out the absolute best from each player.
Thats obvious but the question is how much time is best, by your logic you might as well have no time limit at all, or 10x as much time or so on. @@temps845
Playing classical otb chess is just so much fun and so different from all the stuff were exposed to in todays time. Always having a smartphone with you and just checking social media or playing a game of bullet for a quick dopamine boost. Theres just something about having to turn off your phone and just commiting to one single task for the entire duration of the game.
Magnus won the game because he is magnus...
Not many people deserve such strong confession.
Kramnik when kasparov won sacrifising the queen: "very interesting"
Cool editorial Thanks Agadmator hope we see some of your live lichess games soon Enjoy the day
Rule of thumb with Queens Gambit: don't try to keep the pawn. You'll give it back, so just pick when to give it back and use that tempo to develop.
If black accepts and white plays Nf3 followed by e3, a more interesting line is Nf6 followed by Bg4 before white recaptures on c4. Great line for aggressive play and rarely seen at master level.
Stockfish destroyed engines which accepted queens gambit against it😮 but we are human so we can play it😂
Just go e6 and bishop e7 no matter what or you can acctualy try punish and play the best moves. I mean probly 10 ways to do this optimal.
That's because stockfish is the strongest even among the engines. If stockfish plays QGA against itself it still draws the vast majority of the games.

I am not afraid of the Queen's Gambit. I play it all the time. And I like it when I have black and white goes for it as well.
I have a good winning percentage as White when I play it
d4 games can transpose into many openings I play d4 a lot I like when my opponent accepts the QG great video alot of information thanks Agad
Agad we all know that you're just researching these lines to beat your cousins, the progeny of your uncles.

2:50 you can sac knight and block the check with bish xD Rooks safe.
Phew, we only had to sack one piece!

Antonio, I missed you playing some rapid chess. Do it please.
3:00 actually you can give up white bishop but yeah, blunder is blunder
The problem with this line is that my opponent is not Kramnik and I'm nowhere near Kasparov's level.
I played the Queen's Gambit as white throughout my tournament career, and I never detected fear in my opponent when I played 2. c4.

Kramnik has come out and said Kasparov was cheating here and was using stockfish 14 from the future with help from time travelers.
In the end it wasn’t the games we won, but the Sandstorm we listened to along the way.
Make more videos like this!
