UPDATE: Part 2 is UP on my channel as of March 21, 2024! [May 2023] Part 2was blocked worldwide.. and after several attempts to edit and reupload it (resulting in a 7 day suspension from posting), I’ve decided to forgo the project - for now at least. This channel is brand new and I’m trying to remain in good standing. I apologize for the time being . And to those who came on here just to tell me I mispronounced Beanie Siegel, here go ya cookie 🍪 now go sit down on the nearest anthill. ☺️ Thanks and God Bless
I saw the title in my feed and I immediately clicked on the video. This video was the best documentary I've seen. I've always wanted to know more about the other passengers. Thanks for the extensive research you did. My thoughts and prayers are with all who were affected by this. Just subscribed.
Thank you for the video. Please be careful with your Part 2. Someone sending you a message, brother. Write a book and find a publisher off-the-wall that they will never know. I have heard so many of these occult stories, conspiracy stories that I would truly love to know the truth. I will absolutely pray for your safety and ask the Lord to protect you.
When Aaliyah and her crew passed, I honestly cried every day for a whole month. My Mom told me "there's nothing you can do about it. You have to leave it in God's hand." Her death was ROUGH for me as I was a true fan.
My older brother 9 years older than me had the same reaction, I noticed Aaliyah made a huge, respectable impact on black boys everywhere of all ages. How sad. I remember being scared for I had never heard my brother cry before
This is the first video I've watched on UA-cam where someone mentioned and gave condolences to the other passengers by name that unfortunately passed away along with Aaliyah on the plane. Although i was only like 2 years old when this happened and later learning about Aaliyah's life, career, and her death when i got older, i never really heard any other person that made similar vids about Aaliyah mentioned the other victims, very glad that you've acknowledged them🙏🏾 r.i.p to Aaliyah and the victims🕊️
This video was RIVETING! Excellent work telling the stories of the people who transitioned with Aaliyah. We will never forget Baby Girl, but we also shouldn’t forget the others who perished with her. I’m sending all my love to everyone impacted by this tragedy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@AaliyahVideomusic yes this is awesome, I wonder how the families felt at the time. Of course the pain of losing a loved one but not being acknowledged no where near the amount of coverage for Aaliyah. I remember on the news the would put all their pictures up at once and then give Aaliyah her own spread. It just didn’t seem as though people were as sympathetic.
Im 70 today, i went to school with Keith Wallace He drove to our prom his high School love Veta. He dated and married his school mate and friend. Very smart young man. R. I. P.
It's still puzzling to me that Lenny Kravitz sent his plane for Aaliyah and Hype Williams decided to take it, why did that happen?! Also why did her uncle have a 90 million dollar insurance policy on her? Thank you for making this video and much respect to Maxwell for paying for the rest of the funeral expenses. May Aaliyah and the passengers continue to rest in peace.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤❤
@@Bigbrownbonethat probably explains it , he’s probably had the life insurance on her ever since she was signed, I watched the superstar Aaliyah special and it seemed like Barry wanted her to be the beneficiary of blackground or to take it over, he had a full scholarship for her after high school and Aaliyah always said she wanted to go to college eventually. That’s why I always say it was a lose lose situation for the speculations of him having her killed. when she died so did the label and no amount of money and court cases won could fill the hole that affected the haughton and hankerson families. tbh virgin records are the real villains and they showed their true colors surrounding her death and they’re the ones that had plenty of money. It’s a shame the family is still deeply affected by it as if she died yesterday. And it’s sad to see them split up like this because they’re literally squabbling over money and her music. That’s it.
The question is why did Barry file a document days before her death is what I would like to know 🧐. And why in the True Hollywood Stories it is said that HYPE was the one to make quick changes into going to the Bahamas when the document mentions that location as part of the trip? So who’s lying to who and what possibly could they be hiding? It is also mentioned in Vh1 Behind The Scenes of him saying to go there…. They know they had her killed and as for the others who went down with her meant nothing😢. Evil people.
And she was so terrified of getting on that plane, they had to drug her to get her on it. She knew something wasn't right. I can't imagine how frightening everyone's final moments were.
Thank you for acknowledging the other victims of this awful plane crash. When people die along side a celebrity they always get left out. This makes me think of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and the rest of the passengers that often are names when referred to. Edit: i can't wait for part 2.
I’m 23 years old. I had no idea she died at 22 years old. She accomplished a whole lot at such a short amount of time 💯💕 All of these people were very talented 🔥 RIP 💔
Wow the fact they blocked part 2 says soooo much! You covered this so well. There’s definitely something fishy going on. The fact so many people showed up to do that memorial video on bet but bet or none of those artists except maxwell payed is SICK
This completely took me back to that gut wrenching feeling I had in my entire soul when this happened in 2001. Though extremely painful to watch, you did an amazing job on this story. Damn my heart hurts right now. Rip Babygirl and all who lost their lives that terrible day. 😭🙏🏽
I remember driving from home that day, off the 15th fwy.,On a sunny day in August 2001, I was listening to 92.3 when it hit the air waves I was so shocked I just started crying all the way home. 😢😢😢
This is a PHENOMENAL video. You were not playing when you said try to keep up. That was so much legal, mathematic, scientific, and aeronautical information to try to process. I’m shook. You did that!
It’s so very sad that Aaliyah was taken advantage of her entire career. She was too young to know that predators were taking full advantage of her and not looking out for her best interest. She deserved so much better. She was murdered and no one wanted to even pay for the funeral 💔 this video broke my heart😔 if Aaliyah was alive today she would be able to realize and reflect on all the times she was taken advantage of while being a young artist. All of the families deserved justice.
I don’t understand why her funky ass uncle couldn’t pay for her funeral. I really hope he gets his day and he gets exposed this year. Her mother also needs to be held accountable she’s no saint. This video makes me so sad and mad, It uncovers so much!
RIP Luis Morales III (1971-2001) Aaliyah Haughton (1979-2001) Scott Gallin (1960-2001) Anthony Dodd (1966-2001) Douglas Kratz (1973-2001) Gina Smith (1971-2001) Christopher Maldonado (1969-2001) Eric Foreman (1971-2001) and Keith Wallace (1952-2001)
Crazy how at the beginning you were showing different schools and by the end you were showing different hospitals. So sad 😞 RIP to everyone onboard. We need Part 2 ASAP 🙌🏻
I was 11 when Aaliyah died. I grew up wanting to be like her. I remember crying all day when I found out. Even this video brings back sad vibes.... RIP to everyone
I was 12. We were huge fans, myself and my two sisters. I will never forget the moment when my mother ran into our room after she came home from work and was yelling that Aaliyah had died and to turn on the radio. It was being reported on the radio first in Miami where we lived. I’ll never forget that night.
Yes I looked up to her to her and Whitney Houston raised me with their beauty and voices I wanted to be Aaliyah growing up and I'm a white chick 🙏🏻💯 I watch them all the time and just everything about them I love they helped me escape the abusive childhood I lived 😪🙏
This video is the first one to acknowledge the other people that passed away. They have family and people who loved them as well. Round of applause 👏we all love Aaliyah so much that at the time I don’t think they were acknowledged properly. I remember exactly where I was when my friend told me Aaliyah passed away. He said did you know Aaliyah passed away? I said STOP LYING!! When I found out it was true I bursted into tears. I was 15 years old.
@floralbeautyful Go find ConsciousX777, his wife Divine Sade, Blakk balloon, Fame Vs Sacrifice, Call Me Kinfolk They all do gematria, some more than others but you'll know who. Take the meat and spit out the bones . The numbers don't lie unless the powers that be manipulate them. Just know that she is NATALIA ROSE and they can try to change people as much as they want we can still tell thats her lol Thats exactly why she couldn't really become as big as she wanted to be! Shes Aaliyah and many of us know how they are all puppets and characters on the worle stage. Prince had SLAVE on his face for a reason. Just like the industry hid Whitney Houstons real Mom from us. Her name is Teresa Graves who was also a very popular singer back in the 80's I believe. Left Eye was also a death faker her numbers added up with Saweetie and a girl named pink bitch. The eyes are the windows to the soul and they never lie. They also shut down people's pages who exposed this at one point. The celebrities also respond for damage control 🤣 get your popcorn love!!
This was so well done. Well researched. I'm a big Aaliyah fan but really appreciated you going in depth about the other lives lost due to this tragedy because they mattered too. They had accomplishments, goals, dreams and family and friends who loved them as well and who will forever mourn their loss. My biggest take away from all this is that this tragedy could have been prevented and that's the worst part of this. Nine lives tragically lost and it didnt have to happen. Several people have blood on their hands here because this shouldn’t have happened. I didn't know Maxwell covered the funeral costs btw. What a class act.
Maxwells Father passed away in a plane crash when he was 3 years old!!! It must have hit so close to home that he felt in his heart what to do. He did it out of the love and kindness of his heart .
THANK YOU FOR THIS...AND NOW I RELEASE. 😢GINA M. SMITH WAS MY BEST FRIEND, THAT DAY WEIGHS HEAVILY ON MY HEART AND MIND. 💔💔💔 I CAN'T FORGET THE NIGHT I SPOKE WITH HER FIANCE, WHO CONFIRMED GINA'S TRANSITION. 💔 Also, Gina wasn't officially Aaliyah's 'Product Manager'; she adored Aaliyah, she loved her job, yet she felt like she worked the duties of a title that she wasn't officially given nor equally compensated for. She loved her Fiance. She loved life. She loved people. Gina M. Smith was just 'good energy'.
Oh wow! Blackground records told every news outlet that she was the official product manager, to make themselves look good, but the whole time they were screwing her over for less pay? That’s just pitiful. I’m dealing with the same thing with the army, that’s why I’m getting out. But I hope I did Gina some justice in my tribute 🙏🏾
Wheww 😥 this says alot and why her and Aaliyah got along so well in the same space. I’m sorry you lost your friend , I’m sure life will never be the same for you. Keep your head up ❤️
This was so educational. As a true Aaliyah fan, I truly appreciate your hard work with this research. My only question that I have now is how much money did Aaliyah have to her name during the time of her death? Why did the Family themselves struggle to pay for her Funeral?
I know she donated $20k to a Bahamian charity while she was there. But maybe her family didn’t have immediate access to her funds. In the other documentary on Simone Battle, her mother had to go to court to obtain ownership of her estate. Politics on funds are tricky when an artist dies.
I have never seen a documentary on this tragedy so clear and concise! Thank you for highlighting the lives of the other 8 victims as well. This was very well done. I’m not sure how this video came up in my recommended, but I’m glad it did. #subscribed
Id like to first, thank you for taking the time to shine a light on those who surrounded Aaliyah and subsequently lost their lives in this horrific tragedy. Also, to commend your research, which from my perspective is without flaw and includes details that very few people were aware of. I knew three of the passengers on the plane through personal and work related areas of my life. At the time of the crash, I was working for Macy Gray and her short lived management imprint, Scam Inc. where I was tour manager for Sunshine Anderson who had success with her hit single "Heard It All Before" which had been big that spring and summer. Chris Maldonaldo was my "go to" for makeup guy for all of Shine's TV appearances in the US because of his extraordinary talent, commitment to his craft and easy going demeanor. The second week in August, we had booked Shine to appear on "Showtime At The Apollo" and because Chris and I had become friends, i reached out to check his availability, he agreed to the gig verbally but because all asks must go through an agent, it wasn't "confirmed." When i discovered through Chris' agent he wasn't available, i was confused and admittedly a bit upset. I was gearing up for Macy's European tour and finalizing this show appearance was the last thing i needed to do before heading back to LA to put the show together. Ironically, on my bday, 8/20 just days before the Aaliyah's shoot I ran into Chris at a bar and he, feeling terrible about canceling, explained that his friend, Eric Farrell, had suggested Chris to go to the Bahamas in his place because Eric had booked the Macy Gray tour which was almost 2 months of work and A LOT more money. I assured CM everything was fine, that ironically, I was going to tour manage MG for said tour had seen Eric's name on my call sheet and was going to meet him in rehearsals in just a few days. I encouraged Chris to go, have a blast and we'd catch up upon my return to the states. He wished me a happy birthday and that's the last time i saw him... 5 days later he was gone. Eric Foreman, was the person i knew best. I met him in LA when i was 19 and dating a guy, Martin who's best friend was Charles Henderson, Eric's older brother. At the time, we were all young and wild living in LA with very little direction in life which led me down a rocky path of questionable decisions... but it was Eric (and Anthony Dodd) being shot at close range with a shot gun in South Central in broad daylight that was not only core shaking and horrific but a sobering realization of life's fragility. REAL changes needed to occur in my life which prompted me to leave LA, go back to school and figure out a path to my only true love which was music and a career in the field. Over the 5 years with Martin, I became close with Charles and Eric, we were like family. I'd stay with them for months at a time when visiting LA from DC and began to see a change in Eric. He was focused, driven and increasingly becoming more and more accomplished. As i got my footing at record labels, I'd run into Eric and video shoots, TV appearances, concerts, etc. I kept hearing amazing things about his styling from respected industry executives and celebrities alike. On a break from the Sunshine tour, walking down the street in NY, I ran into Eric. He looked amazing and SO fuckin happy. I took him to lunch and we talked about our wasted youth, our about face, the determination and Hard Work it takes to not only get into the industry but stay in, keep climbing and remain relevant in such a competitive and sometimes toxic environment, It was hours of conversation, mutual praise, some ego stroking, honoring our individual growth and maturity, God's hand in everything and how TRULY blessed we both were to be living lives beyond any teenage dream we once had when we were wild ass kids. It was the last time I saw Eric. I will always remember his face, sparkle in his eyes, joy in his spirit as we sat, ate and drank. Afterwards, as we parted, i remember turning around to watch him walk away to go and meet Aaliyah at her hotel and how proud i was of the man he had become.
This has always been eerie and a tragedy! That could’ve been easily prevented. Hype Williams is disgusting and needs to be investigated. Not only did you take Kenny’s jet you didn’t even go help the other people. 💔💔💔
these are the stories I've always wanted to know..as sad as Aaliyahs passing was, I always felt a deep sorrow for the other passengers on the plane whose lives ,stories & grief got so overshadowed after the tragedy..THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for this amazing video!!💥🔥🎉❤️🖤❤️
The fact that 3 people went with Aaliyah that wasn’t supposed to is wild. Fatima (choreographer) gave her seat to Gina Smith, (product manager)Chris (makeup artist) was asked by Eric Pharrell (makeup artist) to take his place b/c he was working with Macy Gray, Keith (family friend) was asked by Aaliyah’s mom to go in her place to be a parental figure because she had eye surgery. Thank God Aaliyah’s brother was in Australia.
That entire music video was RUSHED like you said. Everyone’s death was preventable if everything went according to plan and if they were a little more patient. But I would of been annoyed too with my personal luggage missing, stuck in a resort that didn’t have hot water, no service and sitting around doing nothing for damn near an entire day. Those two people who were supposed to get on the flight but switched with other people are extremely lucky and blessed. I hope they don’t have survivors guilt. I hope the families who sued actually won their lawsuits as well. RIP 💜
The fact that you think all that surface shyt is real is very concerning, all that was a cover-up to reach a predetermined conclusion. Mary J Blige wasn't crazy at the end.
Twenty plus years later this was by far the best information I’ve seen on what actually happened- give me a little more closure - RIP baby girl Aaliyah
RIP Aaliyah, Eric Forman, Douglas Kratz, Chris Maldonado, Anthony Dodd, Gina Smith, Scott Gallin, Kieth Wallace and Luis Morales, who died in the tragic plane crash many years ago. Their deaths were a huge loss to the music industry and to the world. Aaliyah was a talented singer and actress who had so much more to give. Her music will continue to inspire people for generations to come.
That whole thing was a total nightmare and signaled warnings from the start of the trip. As a former Flight Attendant in training, we learned weight & balance it seemed minor in detail at the time but going even a tad bit over an airplane's capacity can prove to be a major error. The instructors, tests, and exercises for that part were no joke. In any case Ty for documenting all who transitioned that day I was not familiar with any of them (only their) names after the fact, as the Lovely Aaliyah's fame at the time overshadowed them. Nice Job.👍🏾Btw, you emulating the carelessness of the shady pilot "They'll Be Al'ight" had me hollering over here.😅Stay Blessed.🙂🙏🏾💙
As a pilot he was a death sentence, their lives were in the hands of a man with a very shady past, the airport FAA and Black Hawk and Virgin Records was neglegent.🌹 Thank You, for your intense coverage! R.I.P.!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I honestly believe something else. I remember the pilot family fighting and saying how he never would drink or do anything if he had a flight. I believe it was all a lie to convince us, but I truly believe the pilot was a victim as well
Omg. I’m sitting at my desk in tears hearing about the visuals after the crash. I’ve never heard of the in debt scene. I’m 43 and was a huge fan of Aaliyah’s. That was my era when she was out. This is so so sad.
@@sistarwande6213 I remember listening to her debut in 1994, brought her One in a Million CD in 1996, and hearing the News of the Crash Sunday Afternoon August 26,2001 after Church Services. I was 18 in '01.
90 million dollas and having insurance policies on her but couldn't pay her funeral cost or the others passengers. The death also pushed her album sales up and More than a woman, Rock the boat and I miss you all did really well after her death Virgin and Blackground both profited and yet they are so greedy it's unreal. Thank you for this documentary very eye opening. I really wish they never took that plane she will always remain my favorite artist not just because of her talent but her personality was everything. The fact she was moving into movies and wanted to leave her uncles label then turns up dead never sit right with me.
I met Damon Dash before the pandemic. I told him, "I'm so sorry about your girlfriend [Aaliyah]. I cried for days after she died". He said, "Thank you". Poor man, he is STILL devastated by Aaliyah's passing. 😥
Dame knows she was murdered , he also knows if he talks they'd kill his current children and eventually him . That's why he was blackballed from the industry and still is, it's just that he helped too many people that are now millionaires (Camron for example ) for him to ever be broke completely
I remember this, it was so heart breaking. She was so gifted and so young, and those people were super special to her as well as their loved ones. This was a terrible, terrible tragedy. It still hurts my heart to this day. 🧡🙏
This is beautiful you taking the time to share this with everyone.. I's so sad to never here about the other lives that were taken, outside of the celebrities. It seems like their stories are always non-existent. This tragically puts me in the mindset of the passengers that were on Kobes flight. God bless you for creating this. RIP to ALL of the passengers.🙏🏾🕊😞
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO ON THIS ENTIRE CASE SINCE 2001 !!!!! Hands DOWN !!!! This video MUST GO VIRAL !!!!!! Protect this man at all cost !!!! Truth is FINALLY COMING TO LIGHT 💡
Thank you for putting together this very respectful and insightful work. I’m still sorrowful about the late Aaliyah’s loss after 22 years in no small part because there is something so sinister about how she and her colleagues perished which remains cloaked in silence aka deception. May they all rest in eternal peace.😢❤
I will never get over the death of beautiful AAliyah, so sad it was very traumatising to my generation. I never knew anything about the other victims thank you for sharing their stories 🙏🏾
This is the absolute best detailed in depth coverage I have ever seen on her tragic death. It has been so respectfully covered of all passengers who died. This focuses on facts and not conspiracy theories. I’m glad to have all this accurate info because we got none of this when it happened. I absolutely loved Aaliyah. She was a real talented artist who could actually sing(no auto tune, lip sync or studio tricks), dance and had a wonderful personality. I was devastated when she passed. This story has always been suspect to me. Why the hell did her uncle have 90 million insurance policies on her, but couldnt get her a decent flight or pay to bury her? It does make the accusation that she wanted to leave the label make sense and show he had the most to gain if she was deceased. Why the need to shoot in the Bahamas when they could’ve made Miami look like the Bahamas? Why did no one listen to her concerns about their safety? It sounds like this boiled down to greed, incompetence and impatience .These cheap’os wanted to cut corners and save money. The folks who the equipment belonged to wasn’t even on the flight, so why did it have to travel with them? She only had a carry on because her luggage was lost, so clearly she wasn’t the one who added more weight to the plane. Obviously there wasn’t anything set in place to monitor the pilots because how would he even still be allowed to fly? I wish she had listened to her gut and not let them have her move forward as planned. A damn delayed video wouldn’t be more important than her safety and life. This was so preventable and could’ve been avoided if they gave a damn. Really huge loss, I still listen to her music and watch her videos and movies. The world lost a great one and still missing her beautiful light. I hope the poor, ice and ever other shady person involved are suffering and will never get a good night sleep with it seeing her face or hearing her voice. Haunt the all!! RIP
Idk but I remember trying to find a description of Aaliyah’s autopsy and toxicology report and how bad the crash was, and somebody said it was on the internet in 2001 but I think her parents had it taken down soon after. Anything pertaining intricate details to her death are really private, I’m sure it’s just painful for her family to relive that tragic crash anytime they may want to search her name on google.
You did a phenomenal job sir. This is very detailed and with information I’ve never knew even after reading the first autobiography to be released about Aaliyah.
My friends mother knew one of the two close brothers that died that were hairstylist. I’m glad they mentioned all the other passengers on the plane they deserve they flowers n acknowledgement.
Thank you for creating this thoughtful, in-depth tribute to the other 8 passengers as well as deep dive into the days leading up this unfortunate tragedy. My biggest takeaway is that the Bahamas trip shouldn't have ever happened. There were too many hiccups and setbacks surrounding that trip. Delays are usually divine interventions. May Aaliyah and the 8 passengers continue to rest in peace. 🙏🏾 🕊
One thing about this…. No matter how long ago it happened, it still hurts like yesterday. Watching this made me so sad. I can remember exactly what I was doing the day it happened. It was breaking news on MTV… I believe it was Carson Daily who reported it
I knew Eric, he used to do me and my mothers hair. He was by far the best hairstylist I've ever known, even to this day. He could look at any style and do it just as good or better❤ ❤❤ He truly loved and adored Aaliyah. RIP to them all...
Absolutely THE BEST documentary I’ve seen regarding this horrific and very tragic situation… And the very end of the commentary had me giggling uncontrollably regarding ALL OF THE UNPROFESSIONALISM, FRAUD, LIES, and MONEY DRIVEN thought patterns exhibited by the aircraft company, the record label, and all other crooked mess that took place which lead to us all losing Baby Girl. A genuine, beautiful, kind, and very talented soul. May God continue to keep them all in peace in paradise. Thank you for sharing this documentary. ❤
Everytime I see Aaliyah I see sadness in her eyes I was pregnant with my first child preparing for my wedding when I found out she passed I was so hurt like I knew her we named our first daughter Aaliyah
your comedic timing during this tragic documentary was executed perfectly. Lol I kept laughing at the Farrah luggage clips 😂😂. It takes real skill to be able to do that while also keeping a respectful tone for the victims. This was beautifully done and very informative. I had to subscribe for more💙💙
I appreciate you for saying that 🙏🏾 I understand that not everyone takes humor kindly in situations like these but I try to keep it balanced and not too somber. 💯
This is an excellent video. We never heard much about the other 8 passengers since this happened. I was 31 years old at that time so most of them were around my age and Aaliyah was about 10 years younger than me. I had just bought Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" cd a few weeks before the crash. I still have it today. R.I.P. to all of them
Another question I’ve had recently is, if the video was primarily shot in front of green screen or in the pool in Florida, what was the point in going to the Bahamas anyway? Particularly under these rushed and cheap circumstances 🤔 (rhetorical question). So glad to have found your channel. You do a phenomenal job!
My guess would be to cut costs/labor. I know it sounds crazy but video editing wasn't as advanced 22 years ago as it is now. It also wasn't as simplified. Green screen was starting to gain more traction, thus creating new costs. You'd also have to pay for more staff for longer days. It would cost me less to shoot footage in a park than to create that footage through green screen at that time. Hope that clarifies some stuff
2001 was a strange year. I was 10 but remember her death happening I heard it on the radio. My mom was crying really bad then 9/11 2 weeks later was just horrifying. That bothered me so deeply I had to get counseling in school bc it was a site to see. The fact that it all has to do with planes is crazy. Weird comparison but it’s like Aaliyah’s death introduced the damn 9/11 and then Kobe’s death introduced the pandemic it’s a weird thought of mine
Damn, didn’t know about Maxwell just being a kind human and shut all the petty money hungry companies down by paying for funeral costs without fanfare or making it known 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This is the best documentary yet. Thanks for putting in the effort into this piece Jeury! Love how you put a spotlight on the lives of the other passengers as well other than Aaliyah’s. Reminds me of Kobe when all the news channels broke out with his death and completely disregarded the fact that there was a whole other family on that helicopter that left a young girl orphaned after it crashed. I just find it selfish because there were other lives there too but just bc there’s a star/athlete involved everyone else’s lives are automatically ignored 😪 Also wonder why they aren’t letting you post Part 2 🤔 seems a bit suspect
Thank you so much for this. This is the first documentary ive seen that acknowledged the loss of the other passengers by their names and not a collective group. I was in 9th grade when this happened. This happened in August and less than 3 weeks later 9/11 happened. 2001 was a very strange year. Its so sad because so many docs have said Aaliyah wasnt even coherent when she got on the plane. It has always seemed this was more than negligence it was redrum ... too many inconsistencies and indisputable facts that dont make sense. Lastly lets not forget every unexplained tragedy has a pilot or driver who was supposedly intoxicated or drugged up ... conveniently.
I am 1 of Aaliyah's BIGGEST fans. I gotta say this was the best documentary I've ever seen about her and her crew. Everyone was equally important. Her death has always bothered me. I've always felt in my heart that "IT WAS NO ACCIDENT". Thank you for doing this 💜💜🙏🏾🙏🏾 Can't wait for part 2
Man this had me emotional and upset. If this wasn't a set up idk what is. I'm glad I found you can't wait to for more content and to watch you grow. You're awesome.
Everyone was moving fast, and she had a TON of snakes around her. Hype Williams was also close friends with R.kelly. Never share a mutual friend with The enemy!!!!
Dame use to be in those music videos living it up, pouring expensive champagne on women, but couldn’t pay for his girlfriend’s funeral? Smh a clown 🤦🏾♀️ She would’ve def outgrown him had she lived.
Thank you for this video. Because Aaliyah was about 1 month older than myself, I followed her career from the beginning that her first album came out. I could relate to her in a lot of ways, as could a lot of my friends back then. And your channel is the first I’ve heard to go in-depth like this about the lives of the other passengers. Thank you 🥰🥰
That is a blessing that the family received the footage of her celebration. I know it comforted them a little so it was perfect that MTV was following around Aaliyah
Thank you for including the rest of the victims in your video. Some say that Aaliyah was burned pretty bad and some say that she wasn't burned as bad unlike some of the victims who were burned beyond recognition.
Thank you for this! This whole story is so heartbreaking. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I loved Aaliyah and this was one celebrity death that had me in tears. Rest in power to all of the passengers 🕊️🕊️
This was so well PUT together!!! I work in Education and I can truly say that you have covered all of the basics. I learned so much from this documentary! I remember the day Aaliyah passed away and how it affected all of us as youths during that time. She will always be "Babygirl" and I cannot wait to see the next video. Kudos to you!! 💕💕
I just saw this video. Thank you so much for caring about those others who were also killed in that plane accident not just one famous person. Media and everyone are only care about celebrities death but not those others who lost their lives. ❤
UPDATE: Part 2 is UP on my channel as of March 21, 2024!

When Aaliyah and her crew passed, I honestly cried every day for a whole month. My Mom told me "there's nothing you can do about it. You have to leave it in God's hand." Her death was ROUGH for me as I was a true fan.

@@AaliyahVideomusic yes this is awesome, I wonder how the families felt at the time. Of course the pain of losing a loved one but not being acknowledged no where near the amount of coverage for Aaliyah.
Hollywood is not a good place.
Once an artist signs with a record company, they take out life insurance policies as part of that deal. The industries favorite word is “recoup”.
That’s it.
@@taylorwaylor8965they sold out that poor girl. Seems those industry types would do anything for money

They had accomplishments, goals, dreams and family and friends who loved them as well and who will forever mourn their loss.

Wow, thank you for sharing this insight. These are the stories that bring humanity to the stories. God Bless!

I believe it's her family's doing. They are very secretive.
This video MUST GO VIRAL !!!!
They removed a lot of the crash sight images and articles. It’s insane! We aren’t blind tho
@@taylorwaylor8965 OK cause I’ve been trying to search for YEAR’S of the CD details or Photos and can never find it! It’s so hard.
I was a huge Aaliyah fan ,still am heartbroken .What a voice, she had. So incredibly beautiful.
She will get justice one day the truth will come out.
Amazing piece. Thank you for speaking on how black women are portrayed in the media.❤
It was breaking news on MTV… I believe it was Carson Daily who reported it
I'll never forget the day, I found out my favorite artist was gone. Baby girl had such a beautiful spirit❤😢
yup baby girl 😢
Am I the only one that was like I aint gon watch no hour long video on this- and yet one hour later here I am. This was goodt.
I'm just now realizing how young she was doing all these amazing projects ... RIP Aaliyah
This is amazing how you gave them there own place to be dignified.. no one talks much about the other passengers💖 thank you for this🌹
Everytime I see Aaliyah I see sadness in her eyes I was pregnant with my first child preparing for my wedding when I found out she passed I was so hurt like I knew her we named our first daughter Aaliyah
the world had her as an artist for only 6 years & she made a huge, lasting impact - amazing
7 years, not 6. She came out in 1994
your comedic timing during this tragic documentary was executed perfectly.
Much respect Maxwell! amazing documentary R.I.P Aaliyah and 8 passengers 🙏❤️
Once again: 👏s
Learn their names.
Wish we never lost aaliyah…
This is an excellent video. We never heard much about the other 8 passengers since this happened. I was 31 years old at that time so most of them were around my age and Aaliyah was about 10 years younger than me. I had just bought Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" cd a few weeks before the crash. I still have it today. R.I.P. to all of them
I was 21 years old when she died. She was two years older than me.
Wow I've never thought of that, that's a really good question. Only God knows 🧐🤔
Hhmmmmmmmm!!?????? 🧐🤨🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I thought it was all shot in location until this video. Now I too wonder why they had to travel
Because it’s nothing like authentic visuals.
This was so devastating and still is, rest in peace to that gorgeous queen 👑 and the others who lost their lives in this tragic accident.😢
Well documented! I am anxiously awaiting Part II!
I think that you are spot on
@@jassminejames210 I’m glad I’m making sense it’s so weird
@@DreMo521_ Yooooo, I never considered that. But you’re right! Wow
@@TheLoveBellows crazy right
That’s one fact I keep forgetting how 9/11 happened so shortly after this. Man nearing the end of 2001 it was just one tragedy after the next.
Damn, didn’t know about Maxwell just being a kind human and shut all the petty money hungry companies down by paying for funeral costs without fanfare or making it known 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I agree, good hearted Maxwell. J-Z could have helped. Respect Max & peace.
This was done so well 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you for putting this together with such care. May they all continue to rest in peace 🙏🏾🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Thank your for acknowledging the other victims! I’ve always wanted to know more about them 💛✨ Rip to them all 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Chris Maldonado was my classmate @ Carson High School C/O "87" in Carson California. May they all rest in peace.
Sorry for your loss
I am 1 of Aaliyah's BIGGEST fans. I gotta say this was the best documentary I've ever seen about her and her crew. Everyone was equally important. Her death has always bothered me. I've always felt in my heart that "IT WAS NO ACCIDENT". Thank you for doing this 💜💜🙏🏾🙏🏾
Can't wait for part 2
Man this had me emotional and upset. If this wasn't a set up idk what is. I'm glad I found you can't wait to for more content and to watch you grow. You're awesome.
Everyone was moving fast, and she had a TON of snakes around her. Hype Williams was also close friends with R.kelly. Never share a mutual friend with The enemy!!!!
The worst part, her family allegedly knew that man was a*using her and let it happen for money
We just had Brunch with Eric and Anthony the weekend before this happend😞
They are truly missed, I miss Eric’s laugh.
Sorry for your loss
Dame use to be in those music videos living it up, pouring expensive champagne on women, but couldn’t pay for his girlfriend’s funeral? Smh a clown 🤦🏾♀️ She would’ve def outgrown him had she lived.
💯 ✨ She was far more intellectually mature- and would’ve eventually broke up with him…as water eventually seeks it’s own level.
Thank you 🥰🥰
It's like there were so many omens, blocks, signs that literally stood in the way to prevent this.
so many
You did AMAZING and much respect to you for acknowledging the other passengers.
I can’t wait for part 2 👁️
That is a blessing that the family received the footage of her celebration. I know it comforted them a little so it was perfect that MTV was following around Aaliyah
Thank you for including the rest of the victims in your video. Some say that Aaliyah was burned pretty bad and some say that she wasn't burned as bad unlike some of the victims who were burned beyond recognition.
I will never forget where I was and how I felt when I've learned of this crash. 14 yrs old, watching tv in my mother's room. I cried so hard
Me too😢
Thank you for this! This whole story is so heartbreaking. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I loved Aaliyah and this was one celebrity death that had me in tears. Rest in power to all of the passengers 🕊️🕊️
This is the only documentary in which we get to learn about the other victims as well.
Finally someone recognising the others on the plane ❤👌
I just saw this video. Thank you so much for caring about those others who were also killed in that plane accident not just one famous person. Media and everyone are only care about celebrities death but not those others who lost their lives. ❤
This was amazing! Definitely gained a new subby! Thank you for taking your time on each of the 8 people who also lost their lives on that fateful day.
