Here in New Zealand I work for a major retail company which is also in Australia, and just last week they started to not get fifty dollar notes in their tills, from the bank. So they take in fifty dollar notes from the pubic but they don’t get them in from armour guard which is a company that distributes money from the banks to companies they will then take the fifty dollar notes back to the bank, so if all retailers are NOT getting any fifty dollar notes for their till floats then eventually there will be no more fifty dollar notes in circulation in the pubic. They are trying to get us to what’s called digital cash. Look it up it’s happening people.

At a MRI appointment this week, the technician told me literally every adult she has seen through her doors, have expressed to her, that they are aware of what is going on. The banks don't carry much cash. The system works off of fractional reserve banking, which basically takes people's money and loans it to others. The system is debt. If you went to take out a small sum, yes that's a big issue. However ATM could be human error, did you go into the bank and ask an employee?

I worked at a bank. The ATM machine is to be loaded with money every day by a bank employee. Possibly, by human error, the ATM machine was not loaded when it was supposed to be and it ran out of cash. There's only so much loaded into ATM machines daily, or whenever the bank schedules it to be done. If it's a long weekend or holiday weekend and lots of withdrawals are made , it could run out. Just a thought....
Right - The bank didn't run out of cash, the ATM did. I've had drive thru ATMs where I couldn't withdraw cash but then I went to the inside ATM and there was money.
In Canada. ATMs do run out of cash. Usually on long weekends or if there's a big event happening in town. They don't get restocked until the next regular work day.

Dude..over 1 yr ago went to close out an account in bank requesting cash only. Was told explained way back than it was not possible as the bank did not have the cash. That said withdrawal was not an incredulous Ammount...less than most professionals 1 yr salary. So you get the point = most banks have nothing cash wise in the safe as in olden days it's ALL numbers in a computer that can be played ,broken into easily,erased in blink of an eye. My Big Bank wrote me a letter last month saying my checking account needs to have at least $500 usd each month for them not to charge me monthly fee if I go below that. So I think you are correct, banks are in debt because normal folks aren’t paying back their debts.
I've been in banking since 2006. ATM machines just run out of cash sometimes! Not often, if they're keeping tabs on the balance. They probably replenished it the next day.

I went to my bank Wednesday and earlier during the week Monday I always pay in cash and my bank teller was so happy I brought in 20s because he didn’t have any cash at the Moment and that’s happened twice and let me mind you that has never happened where they were almost not able to do the transaction for me

I worked at a bank. The ATM machine is to be loaded with money every day by a bank employee. Possibly, by human error, the ATM machine was not loaded when it was supposed to be and it ran out of cash. There's only so much loaded into ATM machines daily, or whenever the bank schedules it to be done. If it's a long weekend or holiday weekend and lots of withdrawals are made , it could run out.

Right - The bank didn't run out of cash, the ATM did. I've had drive thru ATMs where I couldn't withdraw cash but then I went to the inside ATM and there was money.

In Canada. ATMs do run out of cash. Usually on long weekends or if there's a big event happening in town. They don't get restocked until the next regular work day.

A couple of paychecks ago my companies payroll wouldn't go through. First time that has ever happened in the 9 years ive worked there. They had the money but nothing would process until that afternoon of payday when our checks normally hit our accounts around 10 am.. Haven't had another issue again since.

The ramifications are that the old system had to fall apart, which is happening now, for the new to be implemented. Dude..over 1 yr ago went to close out an account in bank requesting cash only.
Was told explained way back than it was not possible as the bank did not have the cash. That said withdrawal was not an incredulous Ammount...less than most professionals 1 yr salary. So you get the point = most banks have nothing cash wise in the safe as in olden days it's ALL numbers in a computer that can be played ,broken into easily,erased in blink of an eye. Just sayn GET READY...

My Big Bank wrote me a letter last month saying my checking account needs to have at least $500 usd each month for them not to charge me monthly fee if I go below that. So I think you are correct, banks are in debt because normal folks aren’t paying back their debts.

I've been in banking since 2006. ATM machines just run out of cash sometimes! Not often, if they're keeping tabs on the balance. They probably replenished it the next day.
