Hi, Eduardo! Sim, e depende. Se você ouve o texto e entende a grande maioria do que está sendo falado, sim, você vai melhorar o seu listening. Porque a linguagem que falta, que você não entende de primeira, muitas vezes você acaba entendendo pelo contexto - uma palavra nova que nunca viu, mas no contexto você compreende, por exemplo. Com tempo, essa linguagem começa a fazer parte do seu repertório linguístico.
Se você escuta os livros e não entende nada ou só muito pouco, então não, você não vai melhorar o seu listening, porque você não entende o suficiente, nem do contexto. Você terá que começar com textos mais básicos para construir seu repertório de compreensão, e depois mudar para um texto mais complexo, mais difícil.
Você está no Capítulo 10. Imagino que você entende alguma coisa, né?
