My absolute favorite car. I had the privilage of driving one and have always wanted one since, they are an absolute joy to drive. Enjoy it
Looks like mine! Really is the most fun you can have on four wheels. I'll never be without a 7 in my life.
In love with it since The Prisoner series with Patrick McGohan. It was then named the Lotus 7.

I had a Westfield here in Australia, but it's not practical. Anything over 25C and you cooked from heatsink from engine and road surface, BUT what a hoot to drive on those cool, clear days...I miss it, I must say.
TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Seriously ... If I had the coin for a track-day / summer car, *THERE IT IS!!!*
Good video anyone thinking about buying one.... DO IT. 7s are the most fun cars ever and then when you park up everybody loves you. It's a win, win situation!
Lotus SOLD the rights etc to Caterham in 1973.
Caterhams r great for thrashing round a track on a track day to get a good lap time and doing a little tour at as you are doing on a nice sunny day however as an everyday car it would probably get irritating after a while
Leo Howard I’d be okay with the irritation just to have the former.
£20k..???
More like nigh on £30k if you buy new.
20K? Someone didn't do their homework.
The only one I was ever in was a mid '60s kit Lotus 7. Now THAT car was basic!
Honestly they start at 30.000 pounds.
Price has gone up and they dropped the bottom model
DAD! There is a cate... WUUIIIII* there was a caterham :O
Just curious, can that exhaust system that is on the drivers side of the car, car that get quite hot over a period of driving time, of so, would have to be careful about getting out of the car and not burning one of your legs on it.......
Andrew Silva yes and yes, like the old Cobras :-) knew a guy with a factory five cobra replica that wouldn’t leave the car alone after he would park it for awhile because he didn’t want to get sued by somebody hitting there leg against it lol
I don't really see the point of Caterhams, why would you spend that much on a stripped out road-legal track car when a motorbike can provide much more of a 'one with the road' experience at a lot lower cost
NathanSGuitar94 if you don’t see the point, you’re not a true petrolhead.
@@ALMX5DP I get they're a stripped out, bare-basic 'pure' experience. However IMO if you want the most pure thrill and pleasure of enjoying a road you can't do it on 4 wheels. Nothing beats hanging off a bike on a twisty road!
@@NathanSGuitar94 It's okay to have preferences, but being a petrolhead involves understanding those differences and appreciating each aspect for what it offers. There is no right answer.
I'll take two for £20k each thank you
