Wow SO BEAUTIFUL!! I love that you do roller sets on natural hair. I am transitioning and a Dominican stylist told me I need to blow dry wet because rollers will be too hard to do. I felt she was lazy and just didn't wanna do it. I stopped going there. I went somewhere else and they had no problems.
She really has beautiful hair and sometimes i wish mine could look like hers, you really did an amazing job with her and i love that smile she gave when her hair was finished cause she knows you did a good job on her. I’m really proud of you , keep it up ☺️💗

How many times in a year do you think we can do this roller set style?
The rollers you can do it anytime but if your doing the heat I say every 2/3month you definitely can you just have to make sure to give your hair a brake in between. ❤️

Is it correct you only use water and a light heat protectant to set the rollers? I am trying to master this myself and i feel like my curls are weighed down my product a lot of the time so straightening always results in weird texture.

With her hair being rolled, it was so pretty and shiny. Why did you flatiron the curls? I thought they looked the bomb.

joybear but what is the purpose for it? What is the benefit?
The rollers dry and stretch the hair- a healthier option to blow drying- no tugging, pulling, or direct heat. That does not mean the roller set is the final style the client wanted. It may look nice, but would probably be poofy in no time. You flat iron or “silk press” if you want it silky straight.

Well.... It is a different look, with the iron. Probably the look the client wanted.
It’s not about that. It’s about what the client wanted. It’s okay to want silky curls instead of poofy curls.
How long does she have to be under the dryer?
Until her scalp is fully fried and the hair falls off. Add salt to taste.
