We have visited Hospet and Hampi few years back. Before going there, read the history first. I had read the reports of Durmigaon Pawish, who visited India when it was at its peak.
Hampi is situated in more or less equal distance from Bangalore and Goa (285 away km). The weather was nice for us to walk around the whole area for the entire day. What I found most stunning about the place, however, was the stones lying around everywhere, seemingly ready to start rolling. The architecture of Hampi, made almost entirely from the locally sourced stones, blends seamlessly with the stones. The ruins are preserved in a fantastic condition and they are a delight to discover.
Hippi ireland is not there anymore, so hotels you have suggested does not exists now...we done this trip in 15000 for 4 people with car. CNG : 6000 TOLL : 2000 HOMESTAYS : 3000 FOR 2 DAYS 4 people(Rahul appu homestay), 4000 : Food for 3 days
Going tomorrow by SUV from karad..heard some issues of closure of home stays, still finding good hotels to stay 😢😢. Guide is booked. Hope this trip will be memorable. 😇
Hampi is my peace place...every year i go there in first week of November from Friday to Subday without fail...this year as well its alredy planned....suggest you to prefer homestays near virupaksha temple
I want to suggest one superb restaurant i e. kali restaurant. It is very neat and clean and the food is delicious. Please visit once. You will love it.

Visited Hampi in November 2024, stayed at Namitha homestay in kamlapur. Very clean room with reasonably priced. Hampi is a must visit place

Many Homestays are still on various sites but have shut down. Are there any still open? Else, hotels in Hampi are all on the higher side.
