I believe in starting simple and building step by step . Learn basic commands on leash , always on leash in the beginning . I live with my dogs all the time . The idea is to have the dog see you as the Alpha of the Pack . If you are consistent , the dog will learn . Build trust . I've even trained Chihuahuas . I don't like the idea of using a shock collar. Holy smoley. I do this shock stuff to my 220 lb. caucasian shepherd and he decides I'm the problem and I'm a mangled trainer. I give my big soldier doggie treats when he obeys. Its just safer.
99 settings for the shock level yet only one factory preset for volume on my unit, same manufacturer different model. I mean, really 99 levels for shock yet no adjustments for volume????? Absurd. Just getting started with my device with 2, one year old havanese puppies. The range of 4,200 feet seems realistic by my testing. The collars and remote are heavy duty. Easy to use charging. Controls are not real intuitive to be honest but ok. I think the secret will be using commands and training with the dogs consistently while using positive reinforcement with praise and treats and this negative reinforcement when necessary.

A dog that doesn't obey is useless.. and dangerous at the worst possible time.. tks
