Alot of the comments about TA are unwarranted, hes playing arguably the hardest position in football and hes doing pretty good for people that understand how to play DB. Yes hes had a plethora of PI calls but alot of it is stemming from him not trusting his technique but in coverage hes been sticky as hell in the other receivers hip for the most part and its only his 4th game in the NFL as a pro defensive back people need to seriously chill. Hes about to be a pro bowl corner for sure.
What people don’t realize is in order to get pass interference calls you have to be playing good coverage. We never got pass interference calls last year because receivers were already 20 yards behind our dbs
@@Ivypoison23 FACTS!
@@Ivypoison23and rookies get called a lot. Growing pains.
For a rookie corner, we all knew there was going to be growing pains. Im extremely impressed how sticky he is. Let the man have his time, hes gonna b a pro bowler
All Pro

He’s been in the perfect position w/ every top wr. He’s not getting burnt . He’s there completely but playing the ball is hurting him . He’ll be fine
Not playing the ball***
No the ref's are hurting him
I agree
Think about it, which is easier to teach? Staying stride for stride with the defender or not grabbing too much? Exactly.
We're lucky it's not the other way around 😂
@@SuperTrustFall alla cam sutton amd Jerry Jacobs!
@@codynevers51 😝
@@codynevers51 Yeah our DB's last year weren't close enough to get penalties lol
Very well said!
Even with the penalties, he still a massive upgrade from Cam Sutton… just because he’s there to interfere and not burnt by 5 yards
he. is a rookie
he will learn as time goes.
Casual fans and analysts talk about how bad he is but real football people know this kid is a shut down corner in the making. Yea he has a few calls of 2-3 were bad calls but he is playing his azz off and has faced the other trams beat wr week in and week out. Those little plays that they don’t show in the highlights are always him making a play
💯
He will be ELITE!
Arnold is playing 10 times better then slay was his rookie year he didn't take off til year 3 slay used to get burned Arnold just need to work on his hand placement and getting his head around he will be fine I can see him with 3 ints by the end of the season
TA has been excellent for a rookie he isn't being handsy he's just getting picked on by ref's. I can't believe you idiots rattled off the numbers he's been giving up, and only gave him a C+ he deserves an A+.
He be there when the ball comes. Just needs to be better w his hands. I think he will be a good player in this league
He's just a rookie, he's going to be fine.
I love the kid. I think he's tough. Very physical. Seems always be near the WR. We ate still winning with the flags I also think some flags have been cheap. I think he will grow and be better he's a kid
Straight facts. He's gonna b great
I think he gets a B+ so far. He’s tackling. He’s not getting torched or badly beaten. He’s almost always in the receiver’s pocket. He’s going to get better. He’s already double the man/player Sutton was. Lastly, Carlton Davis going ape shit on the refs let all the secondary know that he has their backs & might earn more leeway in coming weeks because PI has started to become WWE-ish in the 2024 NFL. Just ask anybody who plays the Chiefs. 😂
He’s been in position every time some of those calls were horrible too
Meanwhile all of our other DBs were getting TORCHED
He's in the right place, just a little too handsy!
Aikman said on the MNF broadcast Arnold needs to be given mittens in practice so he can't grab lol. I agree. I think he'll figure it out. He better soon, because opposing offenses are going to continue to throw at him constantly until he does
His comment was lame af. Most of his flags were for contact not grabbing at all. Actually only 2 of his flags on the season were for holding. He just needs to dial back the contact a bit but he is young and like you said he will figure it out
No those calls were bogus we need to stop letting those ref's pick on us I'm so happy Carlton Davis went off on one of them for his BS penalty.
Not even he turn his head around and a lot of those aren’t calls and he’s been getting screwed by the refs
I think he's been very good. The refs are seriously picking on him. Yeah, he needs to be a little less handsy but in another couple months they'll start calling it "great coverage".
Part of playing cornerback is reputation. The refs call it differently for some guys than others, otherwise there'd be PI on every play. If Arnold is committed to improving his technique, he'll be treated as an above-average CB by year's end.
I heard the one comment in the game that he's need to practicing and playing in mittens and that idea is so funny and silly to imagine
He’s sticking with wide receivers but he’s making dumb college decisions and not turning to the ball which makes the PI so much easier to call
Let him find his game early in the year, make mistakes, dont get burned, dont lose your man and dont f it up for us late in the season. Thats all you can ask
He just needs to turn his head to the ball instead of trying to grab the hands of receivers
Arnold is playing well for a rookie and refs are treating him like a nobody!
He's not getting burned so he's only got to clean it up
The fact is the Lions blew it by not even considering Gardner when they had the chance. But you can’t do that over. It’s not that they passed, it’s that they proudly didn’t even think twice, which now looks insanely dumb.
Arnold will be fine. But if you asked-what would you rather have-Hutchinson/Arnold or Gardner/Karlaftis FEW short of Detroit fans would not take Gardner/Karlaftis-I mean for his 4 sacks in a game-they STILL are getting destroyed down field which Sauce would prevent. Hutchinson was absent vs SF, Purdy killed the DBs. Again. Even a sack a week isn’t a match for a guy who shuts down an entire side of the field.
It is what it is. So you just have to hope what they have shows up.
Better than not learning hands on baby
Once he stops playing reactionary to the recievers itll remove some of the self inflicted restrictions on his speed and awareness and like yall said he aint getting burnt RN
Im not worried about young gunner at all once he gets the ball hawk out in him its a big fat 0 for these receivers 💯
Just close the comments.
Rakestraw is better
Sure, you would rather TA give up PIs in the end zone giving the other team a TD than give up 20 yards. WTH improvement have you seen from TA game to game? Absolutely none.
give up PIs rather than letting the reciever get 20 yards behind you, not give up 20 yards.
You are so negative and your a sad excuse for a human. This kid will be successful unlike you
We can have cam sutton back. 20 yards behind the recirver with no chance of a PI call. How soon yall forget. Terrion a dog
8 penalties in 4 weeks is not progress AG is holding this team back our def would be hella better with a real DC
I'd take Jesse Minter in a heartbeat or someone else off of that Raven's staff.
Shut up
