Super excited to see they've collabed with League. EDIT: I have ONLY seen AoT and KlK. If I haven't mentioned another anime or media he's composed for, it's because I literally don't know it exists.

Ymir was in mental shackles. She died as a restless spirit with godlike potential, only tapped into when Fritz forced his daughters to eat her and multiply. Common in Japan or at least in storytelling is the idea that a restless spirit needs something fulfilled in order to be able to move on. For Ymir Fritz, in order to be freed, someone linked to the paths needed to kill the person they love, because she could never allow King Fritz to die, having loved him. It took 2000 years for her to orchestrate the events that would bring Eren and Mikasa together and for Mikasa to eventually kill Eren. The only way Mikasa would kill Eren is if he was committing literal genocide-- which was his intention, he knew all of that, that's why he was crying like a pathetic simp in the Paths when he was talking with Armin. He had to help Ymir's spirit pass on to get rid of the titans for good, that's why Armin thanked him for being a mass murderer for their sakes. He saw the rumbling as a necessary sacrifice because he knew humanity would just continue to try to wipe each other out and use titans to make that horrifically worse. He literally caused his own trauma using the future-past link, so I don't think it's about revenge for him. That was just a front by the end, as Armin said, he played the part of the bad guy. Though it was left unsaid, the euthanization plan would have left Ymir trapped in a dwindling Paths until alone forever, unable to escape. We know this because we see Ymir in the paths before and after her daughters ate her, so we know the place can exist without links. To someone like Eren who yearns for freedom so badly that it tears him apart, he understood this, and he found the idea unacceptable. He also did care more about his friends than anyone else, but I don't think that was the sole reason why he did the rumbling. All of the above. And if you question the rationality, remember she was just a traumatized slave girl with a broken spirit who was forced to be a God. Even Eren basically said "I've spent a long-ass time here and I have no clue what this girl is thinking." All he knew was her yearning for freedom. So he answered.

My favorite composer, the god composer, Sawano. Sengoku Basara, Kabaneri AoT, Nanatsu, Aldnoah, Kill la Kill, Thunderbolt Fantady, Ao no Exorcist, Seraph of the End, Team Medical Dragon and, obviously, my first contact with him, Guilt Crown. Those are just some of the series he worked in. My favorite song (for now) that he composed is Dai Rokuten Maou.

Hiroyuki Sawano, the composer for both Attack on Titan and Kill la Kill's soundtracks, always finds a way back into my life with their amazing pieces unintentionally. Super excited to see they've collabed with League.
EDIT: I have ONLY seen AoT and KlK. If I haven't mentioned another anime or media he's composed for, it's because I literally don't know it exists.

@@generaljeanmoreau6853 It happens when a victim has positive feelings toward an abuser or captor. This is something the brain does to protect itself from the horror of reality. Ymir was in mental shackles. She died as a restless spirit with godlike potential, only tapped into when Fritz forced his daughters to eat her and multiply. Common in Japan or at least in storytelling is the idea that a restless spirit needs something fulfilled in order to be able to move on. For Ymir Fritz, in order to be freed, someone linked to the paths needed to kill the person they love, because she could never allow King Fritz to die, having loved him. It took 2000 years for her to orchestrate the events that would bring Eren and Mikasa together and for Mikasa to eventually kill Eren. The only way Mikasa would kill Eren is if he was committing literal genocide-- which was his intention, he knew all of that, that's why he was crying like a pathetic simp in the Paths when he was talking with Armin. He had to help Ymir's spirit pass on to get rid of the titans for good, that's why Armin thanked him for being a mass murderer for their sakes.
He saw the rumbling as a necessary sacrifice because he knew humanity would just continue to try to wipe each other out and use titans to make that horrifically worse. He literally caused his own trauma using the future-past link, so I don't think it's about revenge for him. That was just a front by the end, as Armin said, he played the part of the bad guy. Though it was left unsaid, the euthanization plan would have left Ymir trapped in a dwindling Paths until alone forever, unable to escape. We know this because we see Ymir in the paths before and after her daughters ate her, so we know the place can exist without links. To someone like Eren who yearns for freedom so badly that it tears him apart, he understood this, and he found the idea unacceptable. He also did care more about his friends than anyone else, but I don't think that was the sole reason why he did the rumbling. All of the above. And if you question the rationality, remember she was just a traumatized slave girl with a broken spirit who was forced to be a God. Even Eren basically said "I've spent a long-ass time here and I have no clue what this girl is thinking." All he knew was her yearning for freedom. So he answered.

My favorite composer, the god composer, Sawano. Sengoku Basara, Kabaneri AoT, Nanatsu, Aldnoah, Kill la Kill, Thunderbolt Fantady, Ao no Exorcist, Seraph of the End, Team Medical Dragon and, obviously, my first contact with him, Guilt Crown. Those are just some of the series he worked in. My favorite song (for now) that he composed is Dai Rokuten Maou.

Sawanos compositions based on what I heard from AOT entice feelings of despair and sadness. You can just imagine yourself in a similiar situation of fighting and helplessness. The struggle is embedded in everytone. Great music as expected from them

His stuff from AoT yeah, it does that. But not all of his music is like that. Some of it is hopeful, uplifting, and wondrous. Sawano is an amazing a composer and is one of my top 5 favorites. I love his work.

I think it’s not so easy in Japan. I think a lot of sawano songs are not on Spotify because of copyright right stuff. I think that was the stuff I read online at least.
