Thank you Tiago for those amazing videos. I just want to suggest that you could slow down the playing for some of the clips in the video (instead of stopping and replaying every clip) to explain while the figure/part, that you wanna describe, is being played... that might makes it easier for you and the viewer to deliver the idea ;)

I love this kind of dis-ambiguation and analysis. Thank you!!
With reference the BPM -- In the beginning of the dance, I wouldn't say 'they are dancing on the BPM', but rather say they are dancing at 1/2-time (stepping on every 2nd beat of the music... on the "One") Assuming the song is around 78 BPM
In relation to the BPM of any song, 'normal-time' Zouk is stepping 3 steps across 2 regular beats.

oh i love it 😍 It's exactly the method I use when I learn from videos. I learn a lot from videos. I love to look at and recognize every single body movement. It's so enriching for learning. Especially as a teacher. This is how I train my eye and see every single body movement, every step and every shift of weight in my students. It is very helpful.
