Hi from the UK. Excellent video. So many of us that are interested in this are always considering how far we can scale down a practical survival kit. This has set a new standard.
I side with everyone sending their congratulations on this kit. Ingenious! I'm going to replace the two large waterproof matches with a book of matches giving me more chances at fire. I believe I might exchange the single, medium cable tie with two or three smaller ones. Well done!
Thinking from an urban perspective that little knife is a very effective small "I need SOMETHING to cut" tool. You never know when you'll need a paperclip or a safety pin. I might've gone for a smaller paperclip and two safety pins personally if I could make them fit. Kevlar thread is very useful, and so is having a needle ready to go. Yeah, I like it. If I could suggest one thing it would be to print what's in this kit on a piece of write in the rain paper small enough to affix it inside the bottom of the tin. Kits have items removed when they are needed, and we're sometimes slow to put things back. A handy list right inside the kit takes no space, and you can print the contents of several kits on a single piece of Rite in the Rain printer paper/copier paper and just cut them out to fit. I suggest doing that because it's reasonably expensive stuff. That whistle, if it's the Nitecore model … I was looking for something in aluminium that was the same size and maybe just a couple of dollars cheaper (not that the Nitecore whistle is terrible at $15 on Amazon), and it just doesn't exist. Nice "assorted bits and bobs" kit and a useful assortment to add into a larger kit. If a larger pouch kit is meant to get you out of trouble, this would be a good thing when something goes wrong with that.
UKG - Thank you for your Mini-Altoids Emergency Kit video. Haven't made that small of a kit. However, it has merit and would be a good, light EDC addition to a jacket or pants/shorts pocket. Now I'm thinking of putting one together... you never know when you might have to "MacGyver" something in a pinch (in addition to having a SAK, of course). Probably would add a Tourtoise Gear mini-ferro rod... it's small enough to fit and would be a backup to the matches. (Have them on my SAKs - but would add another to the mini-kit as well.) Happy Trails! 🇺🇸 🏕 🌲
Hi Jc. I like the practical approach you follow with your videos. I would perhaps consider adding a mini light source apart from the Glow stick. Also see if you can add an additional fire making source. Maybe an extra match? Bring out a version 2 and 3 if you will. Regards.
Years ago on the now defunct "BritishBlades" forum we had great fun with this concept. Sal Glesser from Spyderco joined in and one of the reasons for the size of the tiny Spyderco Bug was to fit a real knife into these tins. I am aware there is another reason which has to do with air travel and is why Sal would wear a Bug on a chain as a necklace. Add a Bug to this. Your kit is decent but you should also add a small mirror for signalling
Hi first time I have commented on your videos but they are brilliant I am a keen EDC guy and find the contents of your videos really interesting and I agree with nearly all your contents Keep up the excellent work Bear Hull UK
I don't know if this is your only whistle that you're carrying, but if it is... I would strongly advise to remove it and carry it in a more readily available fashion, as having it concealed greatly reduces the "emergency use" factor. I carry a small, 3d-printed whistle that's attached to one of my backpack straps, so that I can access it within seconds.
@@thedeadpoolwhochuckles.6852 well if that’s the case, shouldn’t be a problem then with that tiny kit then right? I’ve seen way too many people make these little “kits”, but don’t actually show using them, which tells me they are useless.
I dont see the purpose of them, you will swap them everytime you change clothes? I have all of those in the EDC i never go out without, aka wallet phone and home keys. and those are into my jeans pockets, and if those go, i'm pretty sure that no amount of EDC will actually help. Ok the glowstick is nice, might put one in my wallet to have for emergency situations.
Эта палочка абсолютно бесполезна😅 в природных условиях луна будет светить ярче, к тому же вы будете разводить костер, а он в сотни раз ярче. Я просто не могу придумать ситуацию, в которой эта палка хоть чем то была бы полезна
Do you know what clickbait is? He showed you in the video what everything is. Nothing, misleading in the title or the thumbnail. It would be nice to have it in the description, but that's not click bait.
@@alimfuzzy You speak of yourself. Clickbait is clickbait. You obviously do not know the meanings of the words you use. You have failed to present any facts to support your position, or to refute my statement. So, go on about yourself--if you have anything intelligent to contribute.
@googleuser6635 I think you have a misunderstanding of what click bait means. And also UA-cam is a video content platform where information is shared in video format. If you would like to read about stuff, this might not be the best platform.
These videos are the dumbest of content because nobody in history ever uses these, they just make them and tell you about a bunch of worthless junk they keep on them but never open up.
I think this is the most incredible 'no BS' approach to an urban survival kit that I have ever seen on youtube! Congrats on the good work! 👏

You managed to get a load of important,
& useful stuff in there!
Keep smiling!

This is a very well thought out kit.
@BubbaGooch1 Thanks for watching!
Love the sewing kit in the plastic straw!👍

I think this is probably the most useful survival contents you can fit in such a small tin.

I've been using one of those mini altoid tins to carry Tylenol and benadryl for years.
Do you place the pills inside a small bag that goes in the tin or you just put them in there just like that?

What do you mean by bug?
@@arey256 I think it's the Spyderco Bug, a very small fixed blade knife. There's also the Grasshopper and a couple others in the "mini" style.
@@MrMisaKulicka ooh thank you
Very nice, usable kit. Thank you.
Nice kit!
Well done. You managed to pack a lot of functionality into a very small space. I can’t think of anything else you could fit other than maybe a TicTac.
Well done. I’ve tried this before and it’s not easy to put many useful things in it.
Do you think a p-38 can opener would fit? 1 1/2” inch. Would be nice to open a can or just to puncture metal and not ruin your small blade.
Yes it will
Love the real good supplies also put some fish hooks and line may we have enough room 😅
nice tiny kit
Great ideas.

Water purification tablets and a small plastic bag for water
Very cool
Why didn't you add one or two purification tablets? That's if you carry a drinking vessel with you.
@@NightLinks yup. I definitely can! Thanks!
Could you do a video of you surviving only using this for 24 hours
Yep, I would like to see that as well!
Why? you can do that with a bottle of water and a bic.

I strongly disagree. Maybe the 2nd dumbest. I am quite sure I have seen dumber content.
