This is insanely embarrassing on Calvin. He's been making "lazy" piece swap mods for years, but I've never thought much of them because I always assumed they at least worked properly. The fact that he is selling a puzzle made of parts from two incompatible 4x4s, rendering it unusable, is beyond ridiculous. Honestly I have to give significant credit to you for persevering and completing an entire video on this junk. I would definitely not have had the patience.
There have been too many "lazy mods" from Calvin's recently. Looks like they have literally been swapping parts of 2 puzzles to create something "new". The high prices of these awful looking mods really degrade the good name of Calvin's puzzles.
Have you thought about making a new channel? I don't think UA-cam is not going to let this one come back to popularity, sadly, so it might be something to consider.
If I was sponsored by any company I wouldn't start the review with the worst product in the box. Although to me as a viewer this was very interesting and entertaining.
Great video Chris. I won't be buying one of these for my collection, but it does look like a great display piece. It's a shame it's such a poor quality puzzle, as the concept is actually pretty cool!
Yes... but also no. I asked Puzzle Master if I could check this puzzle out because it looked interesting, so it was 100% my choice. PM didn't ask me to review this puzzle specifically :)
I haven't seen this being made as a 3x3 shape mod, but it is technically possible using half of a 3x3 (three faces around one corner) and half of a pyramorphix. It would be easy to make one of these, so long as the pieces were compatible with one another (so if you want to try to, look at getting the same branded puzzles).
The concept of the puzzle is actually so cool.

So glad every time I see ya post chris!

This is even painful to watch lol
Seems like it would be a good puzzle it turned properly.
Damn, was this given for free as part of sponsorship?
