------------A bit about myself & this channel------------
When I was a boy, I always had a passion for opening things and breaking them, out of curiosity.
Over a decade, I have learned that my curiosity could be answered on UA-cam with the help from channels that create tutorials.
Now that I have learned many new things that school could not have ever taught me; even as simple as "how to fix the wifi".
I feel its time to give back to the community.Follow me on Instagram: jackyheshi
Hi. I am from Brazil. I Will follow you. I repair roombas.
......OMG ...KEEP IT SIMPLE SAM!!
Just get yourself a LiitoKala Lii-500 charger, take apart the battery pack, individually test each of the 12 sub C NiMH batteries for capacity (NOR test) to determine which one(s) are failing & replace the faulty ones with better ones. Reassemble the battery pack & voila ! 🤔😉😎
can my skyrc mc3000 do this? my roomba is dicked.
@@FETTYNOP Very much possible. It looks way better then mine. 🤔😏😍😆
wow this guy loves to hear himself talk
How do I even open the original battery? I think it’s REALLY well glued.
There are screws?
@@KK-rg3nj Taken out, yep.
@@Blarnix I just watched this video before opening my battery pack and foolishly posted the previous comment. Now I'm in the same situation as you. It's good way to tight😅😅
I need help! I changed my batteries, and it stopped working after the first use. I am trying to replace batteries again and the cover doesn't open! I don't know what to do 😔
I replaced the old Ni-HM battery with a Li-Ion battery, and now the iRobot 780 vacuum cleaner doesn't recognize it when charging. Error 1, what to do with it?
No protection circuit? Yikes!
No single protection circuit in your DIY battery? that's hardcore
So can I use a 7.4 2s battery and just put balance lead outside of it, then hook up a cheep balance charger? 4000mah
What the hell dude!
Lipo = kaboom!
2:58 you bent them!!!! wtf
Or.. purchasea cheap replacement for only $20 to $30 on eBay ;)
That's what I did =)
But a Lipo will not go bad any time soon. Nmh batteries drain fast and memory of charge gets bad pretty quick
@@cr2928 The NiMh battery in my Roomba lasted over 4 years. It still works but only runs for 40 min, which is still enough to do a room. NiMh is is way better than NiCd as long as you keep them charged up and don't let them over discharge.
Just buy a new roomba on ebay. Seriously I've bought a bunch for $20-30. Get a 650 without problems for the same price and take a giant leap forward in performance.
