Columbia is going to have to decide if sacrificing the majority of the student body is worth their status as an "IVY League" school. The students in these demonstrations likely have lots of money, and I mean LOTS of money. They aren't the typical broke college student working two jobs. They have time and nearly UNLIMITED RESOURCES which means they have staying power, and in turn influence. They could quit school and never have to work a day in their lives. Not too mention the amount of donations their families have made to the school is probably more than the GDP of some countries. If Columbia wants these funds to keep flowing they would be wise to recognize the changing times or they will find themselves as the worlds nicest community college VERY QUICKLY!
