A heads up. An item will dissolve for 10 dust and if you trait the item it will dissolve for 10 + 25. So duplicate gear is worth more dust, 25 instead of 10, if you use it to unlock a trait. For example I had 3 of the same blue/rare helmets. I smashed them together for 60 rare dust.
