Same except when he said “if we can get in with four spots then we can get in with 12.” I think Clemson takes advantage of avoiding elite teams until the playoffs where they only have to beat one or two. If they expand to 12 spots then they’ll have to beat more elite teams (I.e. last year’s A&M, Florida, UGA, cincy). Of course they didn’t even beat osu, but I don’t think they’d want to play any of those teams either. Clemson enters each season knowing they only have one possibly two real challenges until the semifinals
@@zachholmes9253 Think you can throw out OSU last year after Clemson had no offensive coordinator in the game and OSU got there by playing half a schedule. Wasn't it like 6 games? Talk about having an advantage. Showed the next week when OSU ran into Bama.

@@nedhill1242 The SEC Championship Game is quite different than the ACC. Whoever wins the East has to face Bama and then if you are able to win it, two more playoff games after that. Georgia plays Florida and Auburn every year, and then Bama if they get to the Championship Game. I don't think it's that different than if they had to play LSU, Auburn and Bama to win the West.
@@darthnatas953 The SEC is overrated. You have a lot of big-name schools that have had success but rarely is more than one or two really good at any one time. Florida hasn’t done squat in a while. LSU got hot one year because of a bunch of transfer players. Auburn has been through multiple coaches in the last 10 to 15 years. Let’s be honest, there’s no consistency or stability at LSU or Auburn. Florida’s record has looked pretty good the last few years, but go look at who they beat and what their records were. It’s a bunch of wins on paper against a bunch of bad schools that had good records because they were playing a bunch of bad schools. Thus in the SEC there’s Alabama and Georgia and everybody else. Georgia is the only school worth a crap in the SEC East. The B1G is pretty much Ohio state. They are significantly better than anyone else in the conference. Like Alabama and to a lesser degree Georgia in the SEC. The Big 12 is really only Oklahoma, but they haven’t had any success in the playoffs. In the playoff era the ACC has had two different champions. Same as the SEC. The SEC has had Alabama and LSU. The ACC has had Clemson and Florida State. This is why Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State are better than everyone else. No other program is having this level of dominance year after year after year. Georgia is right there but they haven’t quite broken through yet. Will it be this year? Time will tell. So basically we have Alabama, Clemson, Ohio state, with Oklahoma and Georgia behind those three trying to break through and after that the next most consistent would probably be Oregon. It’s not Alabama or Georgia’s fault that LSU and Auburn are inconsistent and Florida hasn’t been crap since urban Meyer left.
