The games are intense and tournaments are filled with emotion. the shaking the hands is to respect the opponent. The good ones still shake even though they rage cause it is the honorable thing to do. I always give em props for that. Tournaments are stressful sometimes

One of the biggest issues with telling someone who's that volatile to "just leave", especially in a manner as disrespectful as they're being, is that for all you know, they could take to attacking someone directly.
Emotions run high, and some of these players have to save up a lot to attend, so when they're eliminated (especially in a way they can't find pride in, such as with 'cheese'/a cheap maneuver they can't get around), the last thing someone would want to do, is confront them directly. You can be twice their size, but if they're swinging their controller like a flail, you're gonna measure your options pretty quickly.

A few years back in America there was a madden tournament and one of the guys lost and then started shooting he killed a few people and then himself if I remember correctly. It’s something you wouldn’t think about but these people raging from a loss could be dangerous.

I feel people who were using og gamecube controllers had worse freakouts because they wanted to smash their controllers but they were pretty tough so it's kinda hard to do and it just made them more and more angry as they continued to fail at breaking their controller.

Oh man. Preeeeeetty sure a few of those uni clips are from the community I used to live around, unless there's another uni that looks identical to MRU.
FWIW, I think a decent amount of these aren't *that* bad. It's easy being a passive observer and saying "wow calm down", but a decent amount of these guys are angry for a moment, and then come back and are fairly calm. It's not necessarily a healthy reaction, as you don't really want to encourage those outbursts of aggression, but there's a huge difference between "I destroyed my controller and also the event hall and maybe my opponent's face" vs "fuck I lost a big event because of my own stupidity and I'm frustrated at myself and don't give a shit about the thing in my hands right now".
