Good morning. Very good run. One of the things I like about your videos is the very clean mini map. Can you share what programs you use to make your videos and and what program you make the map inserts with? I am struggling with creating complete working uploadable videos due to a few technical issues. Thanks.

My videos consist of two videos: the action camera footage and the minimap (which I make in this case by screen capturing from Livelox). To combine these videos, you need a video editor with timeline and multi-track editing. I use shotcut.org but any editor with timeline editing will do (e.g. Lightworks, DaVinci Resolve etc. but not Avidemux since it is used for simpler operations). Then set the action camera video as a background and insert the minimap on the layer above, crop and adjust the size of minimap video if needed, and then export the project to get the final video.

I understand. But do you capture the Livelox at the default 10x playback, or or normal speed? That could take 2 hours for some of my events. Yes I have CapCut and orientview for track merging. Downside of OV is it doesn’t generate a sound track.

@@johnrobertson7583 For Livelox capturing, I typically use 5x playback speed in Livelox and then the reduce the speed of the clip to 0.20x in the video editing software. You could also use 10x and then reduce to 0.1x to get normal speed but I feel 5x/0.2x gives the best animation quality with tolerable waiting time in capturing.
