Nashville & Eastern Freight Trains Around Nashville, TN - May 2024

The final railroad that peaked my interest of catching while in the Nashville area was the regional Nashville & Eastern. Though I'd missed the days of their engines sporting colorful paint schemes I still made a morning venture out to see what I could before the trip concluded.
Starting things off I'd come across a pair of N&E engines, the future NE02, quietly parked and both sporting the RJ Corman look. After a quick stop around the corner for a neat Milwaukee Road lettered boxcar (and some morning MCS trains, featured in another video) I'd then catch the duo on NE02 as they crossed over Highway 70 heading south for the Fairgrounds. A little while later out near Donelson I'd then intercept the NE01 stone train as they hauled west with three engines heading for the city.
