Love the fact you touch on both cheap and affordable for most and then the unltimate top of the range touring set up ! Think it’s great they you provide for everyone and not just the full time tourers keep the videos coming keen to see how the new van is going on the road
People are just jealous he clearly said he is sponsored by redarc. Well done Matt keep doing your thing people just see the content that you put up and never understand what it takes behind closed doors.
I agree, it's like you need 17 dual battery setups and 14 battery controllers to power your 4 inverters so you can run a coffee machine. Oh then you need a 40K chassis mod and GVM upgrade to put it all in.
Could you install a 3-way selector switch running from your canopy 300w solar panels so as you could select that solar to charge either your canopy lithium battery or your 2nd battery under the bonnet? This maby saves plugging in a solar blanket to charge 2nd battery.
Redarc is the GOAT Spot on with what you said about if you want that long off grid travelling the TVM system will do it all. What is the 2nd gme aerial on the bullbar matt? Awesome content as always!! 🤙
I’m guessing he would have too. Not sure about the cruiser but the Hilux ones are only 80a. He also has the 25a charger up front and running his actual car appliances like radio lights etc.
The problem with these UA-cam channels is they make you think you need to be a millionaire to have fun. Most people can get a more than adequate dual battery setup for less than $1000 and still have the same amount of fun without coffee machines, induction cooking etc. It's all overkill to look cool.
well when they get a lot stuff for free. If you can afford that car plus another 70k or so. Im guessing they probably only payed half the amount for the gear they get. I know i would rather invest that in a house deposit than a 150k car. Well i think redarc is bit overpriced for what it is. Esp the manager 30 system that a lot of youtubers bang on about.
I tend to agree, whilst all the bells and whistles are great it’s definitely possibly to travel Australia quite comfortably for a shit load less than what all these people are doing it for. Did the lap very comfortably in 2009 with a 100 series towing a Crusader van. If I spent as much as people are spending on shits and bits these days I would still be on the road. At the end of the day it’s something they will enjoy immensely and all the best to all that decide to hit the road. 🤣👍
Not to mention 12V isn't that efficient and most serious tourers are running 48V setups these days especially if you want to run 230V appliances. The title of this video seems outdated and i haven't even watched it yet.
in a complete redarc system the minimum would be about 1k yes you could do it for cheaper but you would need to source some parts outside of them like the battery and bits and pieces I would say for 600 you could do it with a very simple system using just the old solenoid type but that wont work on all cars now with the new alternators. as he said though he is sponsored by redarc so he got the best they have to offer and while you don't need it all to have fun if you could do it wouldn't you?

Yeah man, love that you still have the old school dual setup in the front, but fuck me, that canopy setup is the way to go, love it.
EGON and a bc-dc 1250D - keep it small and sweek..
i find this TVMS takes up so much space
Love the new intro!!
very well setup Matt, brilliant Redarc system
Malcolm Douglas must be rolling in grave with the amount people spend on their setups these days! Biggest overkill these days

Great review. Hope you enjoy your trip west.
You can’t pump 50 amps into a AGM battery - lithium yes. Make sure you know the battery and BCDC that’s appropriate
I’m pumping 25 in to agm and 80 into lithium 👌
great vid mate, love your content.... as long as my beer is cold i'm good for 12v though haha.

Great video, liked the cheaper option exploration.
Redarc is the GOAT
Spot on with what you said about if you want that long off grid travelling the TVM system will do it all.
What is the 2nd gme aerial on the bullbar matt?
Awesome content as always!! 🤙
The second aerial will be phone.
Hey mate it’s a cell fi 👌
Did you have to upgrade the alternator to handle the 80 amps/h going into the rear canopy battery?
I’m guessing he would have too. Not sure about the cruiser but the Hilux ones are only 80a. He also has the 25a charger up front and running his actual car appliances like radio lights etc.
He did a story on his Instagram the other week, he’s gone to a fully sealed alternator with a much higher output
Yes mate a fully sealed Rapid power 150 amps
what kind of battery are you running in the engine bay?
Brilliant content!
Have you upgraded your alternator?
Yeah mate got a sealed unit in the car since then
Love the vid
Jack ya canopy off, ha ha 😂
I’ll just lift it off 👌
What is the point of having 2 whips?
Ones cell fi mate
The whistle at 18:35... haha. Copy Herbert the pervert 😂
I'm guessing it's water proof being in the grill like that

The old Aussie tall poppy syndrome is still around hey.
Redarc, Redarc, Redarc and ah Redarc. Basically...
Well it is Redarc mate 😂😂
@@theexplorelife 🤣
🤣
Awesome, new hat! Hope the missus gets more opportunity to talk in your vids.
Spending daddy's cash
Actually need just a Manager50 with all these Lithium setups for the future ..
@redarc something in the pipe for christmas ?
Yeh manager 50 would be sick
This was really boring. I find the DIY setups can be as effective, more realistic and far more interesting to look at.
This is just an add
Why is the theme song to your videos always 1000% louder than the rest of UA-cam, including your own content?
thanks for the feedback mate, noted.
@@theexplorelife sorry to complain, just shits me.
Millennials are so out of touch with real life
Need to get to the point a bit quicker sorry
