I don't have a Polyend tracker, but I do find your tutorials extremely helpful for Sunvox, and I've been shamelessly using your suggested tips and tricks in all my Sunvox tracks 😉 as always big ups 👍👍👍
Sunvox is great! It's the first tracker I really used before Renoise and Milky Tracker. For standalone trackers I'm honestly torn between the m8 and the polyend tracker.
@@phillindablank that's a tough one. I think the Polyend will be much easier to find, but the m8 looks so interesting and portable, and seems to handle longer samples, at least on paper. Sunvox has spoiled me though. It goes from a tracker to a modular synth environment in only a few clicks, and there will probably never be a stand-alone hardware box quite as robust, unless it's a laptop with knobs built in, or an iPad in a custom steel chassis
I love the workflow on this thing! I got the legowelt one today. great tipps! especially this adsr and send oneshots to get effects without using fx slots, really clever! I am new in the world of trackers and super excited about this way of making music. great content.
It seems like your Tracker loads and applies the FX seamlessly. I just got one through a Sweetwater fire sale and mind takes quite a while to apply certain effects.
Hi there, many thanks for your effort. Very helpful tutorial. One question: i´ve been fiddling with this nifty device for a couple of months now but the naming convention of my own samples is a catastrphy. If i used a sample in a project is there a simple way to find out which folder it came from without having to search dozens of them? Like a path indicator or semething? Would be really grateful for advice!!
Hey there ! Glad you enjoyed the video. About the path indicator there's no such thing but there was a plan to be able to recall instruments from projects files, maybe it will come in a next firmware. I highy recommend being organised with your sample tho, it's way easier to work with ;-)
Hi guys, do you have any ideas how to set a loop preview in the Sample editor / Recorder sample section? It is not the best to use the "one shot" preview if I work for precise clipping of the sample (CROP) For me it is essential to listen to the loop while I work on the clipping..
Sorry for the late reply but yes you can switch octave by pressing shift and moving the jogwheel when editing notes, it will jump up and down octave on the selected area.
My Stazma and Concrete Collage folder in my unit doesn't have all those sounds, nor does the zip file floating around that has the Polyend 1.3 firmware. Is there a way to get those other folders with the Moog sounds, Hoover sounds etc ?
@@Stazma yes in the sample editor. It does seem like a long shot but how great would it be. Even if you could perform two lanes of automation per sound.
@@ultrajayme if you have the sample time available you could resample the pattern, play it as an instrument, and put the parameters changes on the new pattern I think
Beautiful weaving - very powerful!
Nice👌

Very happy that those tricks can apply to other things than the Polyend Tracker !

Great to read that, you're in luck i've made quite a few videos on that thing so feel free to browse the channel ;-)

It might be that I edited to video so people don’t have to suffer from looking at a loading screen too much.
@@Stazma Thanks I had wondered and I love my Tracker was just super curious about that lol really appreciate the tutorials as well so thank you!

Step repeat in Perform mode is new too me, thanks !! :)
Is there any way to quickly copy a pattern and change it's octaves, in pattern mode ??
