Very high quality review. Thank you! BTW, a couple of questions: can you disable Alexa? And for the music, can you store it directly on the watch? I'm using the original Amazfit GTS and it is still great, but this comes with a couple of features I'd like to use.

Hi does the gts 4 have almost the same watch faces as the gts 4 mini in the Zepp app
can the notifications be spoke, not just displayed?
While that's theoretically possible since it has a tiny speaker, I don't think that's a feature you can enable...
I see it has a wifi toggle.
Can you actually connect the watch to the internet?
Without connecting it to the phone first?
Looks like a funny thing to ask, but I'm surprised how many watches don't have it as an option.
Even some relatively expensive ones.
I'm not entirely sure about that facet of the watch, so I suggest you contact AMAZFIT customer service for more details on this feature.
Hi Dave, thanks for the review, it's the best I've seen but my watch doesn't have everything that the one you show has. And, even though I've requested it to be on all the time, I still have to touch the side button to get the watch to light up, and then when it does, it only shows sleep mode and time, then I have to click again to show the clock face. It doesn't come on at all when moving my wrist. I don't know if I have a defective watch or there's just something I'm not doing correctly in the app.
That's odd. Hmm... are you sure you have the GTS 4, that it's not a different version? And that you have the latest version of their app?
The bos says GTS 4 and I have the latest version of the Zepp app on my phone as far as I know. I've contacted Amazfit but they don't seem able to help me either.@@AskDaveTaylor

All good and well but i have to buy almost all watch faces... And also, Alexa isn't available in europe...?
AMAZFIT definitely has no control over where Alexa is or isn't available, and in terms of watch faces, yes, there's a thriving marketplace. I prefer free faces, personally, but some of the $0.99 ones are pretty sweet...
Will you be doing a review of the accuracy of the features?
Generally speaking I don't have the equipment to be able to do that successfully. I could compare it to another smartwatch or health monitor like an Apple Watch, but how do we know it's more accurate? 🙂
@@AskDaveTaylor Thanks for your reply. The Polar H10 can be used as the reference for heart rate and the step count could be referenced with a manual counter.

im thinking these watches even samsung and iwatch are good as trash overtime since nobody spend to replace its battery. atleast regular fossil watch battery are cheap to replace😆
Trade-offs. If smartwatches had replaceable rechargeable batteries then they'd probably have shorter battery life on a charge. Plus replacing a battery often damages the waterproof seal.
@@AskDaveTaylor regular watches has waterresistance seal too and easy to replace
@@AskDaveTaylor i dont think they would have shorter battery life just because its replaceable. what im trying to say is they are still rechargeable batteries but when the actual battery life degrades they should be easier to replace since these are over 200usd not just 50usd😆

What about the GTS looks better to you, given that most smartwatches are just screens that have a digital display?

What do you mean by ring button? The crown that you spin and push as the only user input feature other than the touchscreen?
