The locations that you went to in this video is absolutely insane. I thought those places only existed in movies and books, but there you are just living life there. It’s extremely inspiring you’re like living the dream.
@@dustinvuong I live just over an hour south of sac, and it's desolate - but your vlogs inspire me to look for beauty in things that may not be conventional
4:26 really happy to find out there are people actually who feel that way, like having the thought that we are getting older, when all are friends starts talking about their future and what they want do. It shows how far we have come and there's no more childhood left.
as a brazilian it's so comfortable to listen this songs that i already liked and a little bit of my language and country in the video 💌 hope you like more songs in portuguese !
These vlogs always bring me comfort as in our daily lives through all the hustle and bustle, it's allows important to appreciate the little things. The bright sunsets, the cloudy skies, the fresh breeze. the short meetings with old friends and the quiet momenst with ourselves. Take care of yourself everybody :)
Dustin's vlogs are so nostalgic for me. I started watching his vlogs in the 8th grade and I just graduated from high school so watching his older vlogs or seeing clips from others brings up so many memories. I'm so happy Dustin has been my comfort youtuber for all these years.❤
ur hometown looks so peaceful plus u got that editing technique that i found comforting and i just love the way u still keep in touch with ur highschool friends, must've been a really good friend back then ^-^
okay no when u put in that clip of u talking to ur friend about selling their jeep it reminded me of when my best friend sold this cute little pickup truck she used to have that was old jank had no ac but we used to drive around everywhere in it thru high school and blast music and then her fam sold it after she went to college. it felt exactly how u described it. growing up is so strange.
hey dustin, just wanted to tell you how much you've inspired me over the past 4 years. every summertime, i look forward to these types of videos because it has helped me romanticize the small things like spontaneous, late-night hangouts/drives with my friends. idk how to explain it really... but your videos bring me so much nostalgia and remind me of how much i actually enjoy summer despite the crippling texas heat LOL.
I relate so much to what you said about traveling, trying new things and being more active. I've been wanting to travel more for a long time but I think I kinda feel trapped because I'm still a student and I have to focus on my academic goals. I'm only 23 but sometimes it feels like I've missed so much and haven't done a lot of exciting things. So I have to remind myself that I have time, it's ok to not travel all the time and try new things all the time because that's a lot of pressure to put on oneself. My best days are ahead of me and that is so exciting ! As always, your videos make me reflect on my life and make me feel safe and seen 🥰
what you said at 1:52 made me litteraly cry. I am 18, and me and my friends are going to different school next year, my 2 bestfriend are going in Paris, and i know that doesn't mean things will be different between us but i am so scared
AHHHHHHHHh this was beautifully edited!! the 20 min went by so fast 😭 the sunsets were absolutely stunning and ur chats (esp the one about the monotony of routines) r always so down to earth and insightful!
i no longer live in the suburbs but the nostalgia your video gave me, i was able to relive a lot of memories that at the time seemed so inconsequential but today i remember them with a lot of fondness
I do like the start of the video with this muted voice, seems like I am listening to it from an old grandfathers radio. I can infinitily speak about the atmosphere in your videos, it is so special! Thank you for calm little movies!
I love you, I just can't explain it in words but you're such and inspiration, your vlogs are the most comfortable thing I've ever seen, your person in general gives me such good vibes, your videos are a big safe place for real
Your tangent about your lifestyle goals reminded me of how I wanted to sign up for those programs as well a couple of years ago. Seeing your enthusiasms on possibly staying/working on a farm on the countryside inspired me to go back, look into them and reconsider applying for them. Hopefully everything works out for the both of us!! Much love to you
I relate so much with the car 😭 the vehicle that brings us everywhere. those places creates memories. same goes to that car.. losing the car is somewhat losing our good memories too. but life goes on..
OMG I remember watching the videos you inserted clips of when they came out 😭 I can’t believe it’s been 3 years 💓 also I absolutely love the composition and editing of this vid!
Idk this made me feel happy about growing up. Ig I’m so worried about the future and I’m going to college (early next year). That I also never enjoy the steps to getting there. I’ll be leaving my friends early and my family but just thank you Dustin 🤍
It's actually crazy seeing you vlog back in Sacramento omg, I've been watching u since that Enjoy vid of yours and i genuinely felt nostalgia seeing you go around Sacramento again, AND THE OLD BEDROOM??? My mind genuinely fills it up with posters and stuff u used to have.. anyways love you Dustin you're such a big inspiration for me djvdgbdjd
heyy dustin, I've noticed you like Brazilian music, bossa nova. So, id recommend you to look up João Gilberto and Rita Lee, both their lyrics and their voices/instrumental are beautiful and also calming!! Also great video xx 🌜
I love Dustin’s videos omg, the quality, the nostalgia, the editing… everything’s always perfect :) this video came at the perfect time for me.. I’m going into sophomore year of high school, and Ik I’m not “old,” but i’m starting to feel sad but happy at the same time. I Made so many new friends with cool ppl, but I can’t believe we’ll all be going to college in a few years. I have friends in college, and I’m starting to realize that we’re growing up. I do a ton of stuff outside of school (I play the viola, I do softball, badminton, theater, choir, orchestra, and I’m learning three languages, two of which I’m teaching myself), so I don’t get a lot of time to hang out with my friends besides school and the activities I’m in at the time. The whole point of this comment is to ask if Dustin or anyone else has any advice on how I can change my attitude toward growing up and/or how to hang out with ppl and not feel sad? again, I love Dustin’s videos bc they’re like therapy for me, but seriously if anyone has advice I’d like to know :)
I’m not from Sac, but half of my family is in Sac (divorce lol). Every summer I would go to Sacramento since I was 3 to see my family and the craziest thing is that your families kitchen and living room is the exact same floor plan. This was good for me because I haven’t seen my family over the summer since I started college. Thank you.
0:44 stop this made me miss living in california SO MUCH. i lived in san diego at my grandmas and all of my family lived in cali. so i could see them whenever i wanted and enjoy the cool weather. now i live in tx where its too hot with no family to hang out with. 😭
i feel so immersed in your videos, i just met your channel and im already in love with the way you see life, and so much more in love that u put a brazilian song on this one ✨✨✨ feeling represented ❤
Thank you for the vibes, I think I have the same lifestyle goals as yours! you inspire me to vlog and try to speak in front of the camera. So, I really like what you’re doing, keep going and I’ll be waiting for more!
The way I started crying at you watching the sunset hahaha I just love sunsets so much and I haven’t seen a sunset lately since it’s summer here too but it’s super hot and not safe for my skin so I just missed it :c thank u for sharing it w us
There is something different nostalgic about growing up in a suburb, bc they are not just suburbs for us its our home town. I feel bad that city kids wont ever know this feeling.
i grew up in a village and a suburb area later on. for me going back there only gives me anxiety. anxiety because i never had friends, i got bullied at school and was alone most of my time. i tried making friends so hard, but the small group of people i had in my life were toxic, so in the end i chose loneliness because it was less painful, but it still hurt. videos and movies like this give me a very dark type of nostalgia because this is the life i always wished i had and a girl can only dream
I've been in Madrid, Spain for over a month, and I literally have no job and am just living off of savings! If you pick a city that's affordable(which, compared to the US, most of the rest of the world is lol) and find housing through a website(Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.) far in advance you can plan out a stay for months and it actually isn't that expensive. If you're looking for opportunities where you would work to live abroad, you can actually find many for just being a Native English speaker, since you could teach English. Some require a college degree but a lot of them only require a TEFL certificate, which I personally haven't pursued, but I've read that it's very popular in many countries so you would have a lot of options in terms of where to travel. I'm sure there are many other accessible working abroad opportunities out there that I haven't heard of. I hope you find this helpful :)
im currently deciding between moving home after college or going back to the city i've lived in for the past four years...truly a weird limbo rn but this video really made me feel comforted
Would recommend Taiwan for working on a farm and experiencing a new lifestyle! The Taipei/New Taipei area is super diverse in terms of access to nature and city just because of how geologically unique Taiwan is (public transit is also rlly good) and accessible if you don't speak Mandarin
This video gives me this warm and cozy feeling, especially at 0:43. Largely due to the fact that there's something about the idea of growing up in the Suburbs in America that makes me feel nostalgic, which is weird because I literally grew up in the city and I DON'T plan on living in an American suburban community, like I don't wanna be surrounded by a bunch of rednecks and Karens 😭 idk maybe in my past life, I lived in the suburbs which is why videos like these make me feel at home
i think the suburbs of america are so cozy & nostalgic because it’s been so romanticized in tv shows, movies, even other medias such as this video. most coming of age movies are set in the suburbs (lady bird, edge of seventeen, etc.) so it makes sense to feel that way!! trust me the grass is always greener on the other side hahaha
You are the one of the very few youtubers that makes me hooked from the start till the end. I really love your aesthetic, Dustin💛 keep on filming 🎥 ✨️ 💖

It really is!
