There's a new mod that turns the creepy crowd NPCs into regular NPCs. You really need to check it out. It has improved my enjoyment of SF immensely. The crowds all look like normal people. You have to see it to really understand how much it changes the game for the better. I'm sorry I'm not at my PC but you should be able to find it pretty easily. I'll never play SF without it apparently Big Beth changed the crowd NPCs into watered down sprites and this mod changes them back to "real" NPCs.
FINALLY legendary crafting. its absolutely baffling how a huge company like bethesda manage to miss half of this stuff in their vanilla games. its like they dont even play test their own games.
a mod i hope to see would be to allow ships from your fleet to be sent out on the randomly generated missions from the mission boards in the cities. nms and black flag had similar functions and it would add some longevity to the radiant quests after youve already done enough yourself to get tired of them.
This game has so much potential, and its all just sitting there. In time I can see total conversion mods for this game, things that would 100% rework the game from the ground up just like FO4 or NV, Bethesda may have made both the dumbest and smartest move by simply leaving it so open for the community to fix/ make.
I'd been hoping there'd be a mod that would allow NPCs to use any ship the Player has made and sold. It'd certainly up the challenge for all players with the "top tier shopping list" builds I see on UA-cam! 😂 Astroneer sounds pretty close.
It would be nice if the helmet mod would have a function to raise/lower the visor so we wouldn't have to take off the helmets if we wanted to see more clearly.
I like the Disable Dialogue Camera mod, but I found it troublesome with conversations where I had to sit down. Specifically I had troubles with the Ryujin questline. After the conversation was over I had no control over the game anymore. Couldn't move to stand up from the chair, couldn't get into my inventory, or save.
Use the console. Type "enableplayercontrols" and you should be good. I'm assuming that's the command, anyway. Bethesda have been using the same game engine for years, so a lot of the commands are usable across multiple games.
Would like to see a mod of food effecting mass & muscle & suit size. And water thirst. As well as StarFlight like space travel. With speed limits placed bubbled around certain planets and speed limit ranges further out from star center, otherwise space uc or free rangers chase you for speeding. Or capital ships just try to destroy you with grav speed propelled space bombs with blast diameter of planets. Picture flying fast around a solar/star system at 500 times the speed of light. And flying through the starfield in gravjump space like flying through 3d Microsoft flight sim with star systems looking like glass spheres with lamps inside and deep space like an earth like eternal blue sky with fluffy clouds and storm. Every single light year only 1 minute away at max gravjump power.
Unfortunately until the Creation Kit comes out, yes you are out of luck. But I'm hoping that is soon. Bethesda did say they are going to start updating the game on a cadence of about every 6 weeks in 2024, including working on a city map, more customization, "new ways to travel" and official mod support. Once the official mod support is here, you'll be able to enjoy anything that gets ported over to consoles. I know the wait sucks, but hopefully it's not much longer.
Man thats the main thing I dislike. All the cool ships you can build and you can't even assign them to the cargo pads in your base or anything so, they just sit there. I hope to see more mods that put ships you build into the world. Isnt the creation kit supposed to be out this year? Wonder what will see late 2024 early 2025
Are you serious? No mods can fix the biggest issues of this crappy and boring game: outdated engine, npcs ai (or better artificial stupidity), lame storyline, and so on.
If we could own a customizable space station (more or less like that one called The EYE), in which we could display all of our space ships docked, it would be so amazing!
@@nidavelliir well there’s only a small handful of modders that actually “fix” anything. Vast majority just build on what Bethesda has done and/or what others have done on top of that. And I use mods for all my games. 780 for Skyrim but 2 fix the game. The rest just help other mods to function better or just aesthetic.
Even Red Dead Redemption 2 has mods that add to it. Maybe the reason why Rockstar is so against mods is because they don't want to get the "modders will fix it" reputation that Bethesda has. Pretty sad IMO that people view modding as this thing that is only used to fix things.
Has anyone realized that Games get larger and larger? But the story is shorter. But someone can make a whole mod and make the whole story. That 10 times longer what the heck game developers if you're likely getting lazy.
That Eclipse armour. I'm always baffled at how much better a job the community does with apparel aesthetics than Bethesda themselves? This kinda of form-fitting, tactical bodysuit / the sort of thing worn in Mass Effect look waaaaay better than the clunky Vanilla Eclipse. -If ya gonna go clunky, gotta go _FULL CLUNK_ like an Astartes boi 🙏
Thank God for the modders, it's a shame that the base game doesn't come with a proper companions preview and so many other options that the modders are implementing and that were missing from the game, i think it's absurd to customize the follower without being able to see what he/she will look like! Bethesda really leaved a lot to be desired in Starfield! I'm impressed by the talent and creativity of modders, honestly. That landing ramp button modd and the modd of more followers seems like a simple thing, but they add an absurd amount of immersion to the game! I would really love to see a mod so that when we shoot an enemy in the head, if he is using a glass visor, the glass would be cracked, the visor become all bloody and frozen inside the helmet with air blasting out of the hole! That would be so incredible and it would would greatly increase the immersion of the game...
i really liked the game. i player 100 hours until finish with all of the faction quests and some side quests complete. now i wait until some DLCs and good MODs come out probably 2 to 3 years will replay again. but i still watch content from time to time.
True... lol The prices of items in Bethesda games have always been very absurd! A sniper costs 1/3 the value of a spaceship (no matter how small and simple it is), it's very surreal... lol
unlike previous bethesda titles, mods won't save this garbage game, at least not until starfield very special 2034 edition but it will make all the mods obsolete anyway
Would be good if was easy to put these mods. The worst is the compatibility version and for who plays through Xbox APP (like me), where most mods doesn't work. It is frustrating. I reinstalled Starfield just to install some mods 'cause I am tired already of the default game, but they doesn't work properly and I have new bugs to "help". Vortex or Mod Organizer, both problematic.
When I see some of these mods I wonder if Bethesda lacks the talent or they are limited by higher up's scopes and visions. The damn inventory UI overhault mod came a few days after the releas and fixes tons of problems and improves in every aspect. Can't believe they are not doing stuff like this after they saw a decade worth of mods in Skyrim...

B.A.S.E. looks like the modder wanted to make base building more like settlement building in Fallout 4. Which was something that disappointed me when I built my first outpost. Oh, I can only put down pre-fab buildings, I can't build my own layout.
Is there a mod or setting that allows the messages in the upper right-hand corner to be visible in a log or at least displayed for more than a few seconds? Most of the messages are pretty straightforward (frostbite gained, etc.) but some regarding interactions with NPCs are a little more detailed and they basically disappear before I can read them completely. Call me nerdy, but I've been looking for a captains terminal type mod like the affinity mod that lets you carry around a terminal or install iin your ship allowing you to send and receive messages from factions, write captains logs for immersion and playthrough tracking, ship controls, etc but I have no idea how to code nor the time to learn and create such a mod. Also can you run more then one mod to starfield at the same time from different mod creators or does this become a problem with the game data?
I've seen this requested a few times and at this point I'm definitely considering it if work dies down a bit. It's difficult though because there are just so many variables, including your windows layout and settings, whether you play it on game pass or steam, and of course random stuff to do with the files or your pc. But yes, you can run more than one mod at a time, some people run hundreds. It all depends on what files each mod changes because if two mods change the same file then you will have some problems. For most of the mods in this video for example, you can run them at the same time and I did.
My favourite mod is the one that makes people realise they have a life they can spend either doing the exact same thing in this game but for free, which is sit in a chair in real life for hours and do nothing, or do something productive like play any other rpg.

Sadly some mods won’t fix how broken and flawed Starfield is as a game. I will say the modders are talented and amazing, and I really do hope Bethesda invest massive time to fixing Starfield and making it fun and a lot more enjoyable. I guess time will tell.. maybe I’ll come back in a few years time.

I would ask you, why put so much effort into something so terrible. Just at this point there are so many better games that deserve talent like this.
I like the one simple mod that doubles the enemy number you encounter.

I just don't understand why many of the mod features are not part of the original game. Such easy wins for Bethesda. Or, do I not understand.😊

i think instead of taking features out of the game, they should provide it as a choice always, so for the players who don't like the player voice or the camera views, that should be an option, but the default is the voiced content and the camera thing.
Or you know fandoms aren’t a homogeneous mass that all have the same views
I need a computer specifically for these mods but I can’t justify spending two to $3000 for video games.
