  • EPR is a type of personal protective equipment that protects people from inhaling substances that are harmful to health. Read our RPE guidance for businesses and workers and information on the respirator selection tool.
Respiratory Protective Equipment (PPE) is a particular type of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used to protect the individual user against the inhalation of hazardous substances in the workplace air. The EPR - Respiratory Protection Equipment should only be used when adequate exposure control cannot be carried out by other means, that is, as a last resort within the hierarchy of control measures: Elimination, Replacement, Engineering Controls, Administrative Controls, PPE
Employers are required to first try to eliminate the hazard at the source. The EPR - Respiratory Protective Equipment should only be used after all other reasonably practicable control measures have been taken. PPE is considered a last resort because it only protects individual workers, it is prone to failure or misuse, such as wearing the wrong EPR for work, and employees wearing EPR may have a false sense of security when using EPR. Breath protection.
In many industrial facilities, employees must work in areas where hazardous substances are present or where the oxygen level and amount of toxic substances can change at any time. These health risks can affect the lungs or cause illness - and in extreme cases, can even lead to death. Where toxic substances cannot be completely controlled, respiratory protective equipment should be worn. Dräger designs respiratory protection devices according to our Technology for Life philosophy. No matter the scenario, Dräger helps you put safety first.
If you need help choosing the right respiratory protection, we recommend that you research World of Respiratory Protection.

Conheço a importância do EPR. Bom vídeo. Já trabalhei com resíduos químicos e para entrar nos silos era necessário equipamento com suprimento de oxigênio. Sei que são a diferença entre vida e morte.
